Hi guys,
I lost the entire home page and also I can use Cornerstone for other pages but not for the home page.
Any ideas why this is happening?
Many thanks,
March 27, 2016 at 6:57 pm #854531Hey there,
It sounds like you change your home page to blog page. Please check your Settings > Reading and see if your front page is set to latest post. It should be static with your chosen homepage.
If that is not the case, please give us access to your WordPress admin.
Thanks.
March 27, 2016 at 7:11 pm #854547Hi there,
Thanks for writing in.
Could be related to content breaking cornerstone. Would you mind providing your site’s URL and admin login credentials in private reply?
Thanks!

Thanks for updating. Your site is asking for extra credentials so couldn’t chek – http://prntscr.com/aky7l0
However it seems you have edited the page content outside of Cornerstone – http://prntscr.com/9p8hao
As indicated by the warnings in the post editor, if you edit content outside of Cornerstone it won’t be saved when you edit again or might get corrupted too. So I am afraid you need to rebuild this page if you want to edit with Cornerstone again.
Cheers!
March 28, 2016 at 12:09 am #854784Hi,
You just have to enter the provided credentials twice to login.
I only used Cornerstone to edit and the option for using Cornerstone for the home page is not even there.
March 28, 2016 at 12:22 am #854787Hi there,
Thanks for writing back!
I have successfully logged into your site. It seems that your homepage is your blog page. You simply need to select your homepage back to display as your front-page under Settings > Reading (see: http://prntscr.com/akyegv). After selecting the page, you should be able to edit it in Cornerstone.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
March 28, 2016 at 12:35 am #854788Hi,
This option has always been on and I never went anywhere near it.
Also Cornerstone always appeared on my wordpress top bar but now it’s not there anymore.
March 28, 2016 at 12:40 am #854790Hi there,
Yes, Cornerstone option won’t appear in your homepage because it’s not a static front page but a blog page. As mentioned in my last reply, you need to select a static page under Front page option to show it as your homepage. You should be able to edit your homepage after making this change.
Thank you!
March 28, 2016 at 12:55 am #854794Hi,
The home page option is not there, when I purchased the X theme I just started editing with Cornerstone and I never named the home page or anything.
March 28, 2016 at 1:04 am #854796Hi there,
I don’t think I understand you correctly. If you don’t select a static front page, it will show your latest posts (blog), and you cannot edit a blog page using standard WordPress editor or Cornerstone in WordPress. I have created a test post in your site, and it is appearing in your homepage because you haven’t selected any static homepage: https://123cvresume.com/
Please go through the pages in your site and see which page you were editing as the homepage and select it as under static Front page option as mentioned in my previous replies.
Thank you!
March 28, 2016 at 1:23 am #854804Hi,
If an X Theme user doesn’t name the home page, then what is the home page name set to?
March 28, 2016 at 1:41 am #854814Hi There,
By default, WordPress shows your most recent posts on the front page of your site. There’s no actual page. The default template display those posts instead. If you want to have a static front page or splash page as the front page instead and use Cornerstone to design it, you can create a page via Pages > Add New. Then go to Settings > Reading > Front page displays: Choose A static page (select below). Choose the page you want as Front Page and the page where you want to display your blog pages.
Hope this helps.
