Laura LParticipantHello,
I recently switched to Theme.co hosting, and when I went in to the Dashboard to update X, I noticed that I no longer have the “clear all caches” etc options in my header. Did something get deleted in the transfer? I seem to have less options displaying now. . .
I can give you my login if you like.Thank you,

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in! It seems that you had a caching plugin installed on the earlier hosting environment. You can still install a caching plugin on this platform also. Please refer to our knowledge base article on performance to see some suggestions (https://community.theme.co/kb/performance/).
Hope that helps.

Laura LParticipantThanks for the link . . . I want to double check though that it won’t conflict with the caching system on your end? I was told when switching hosting to Themeco that they have a much more efficient system they use and so they disabled my caching solution. If I turn it back on will it cause slower load times or other problems?
Thanks,

ThaiModeratorHi Laura,
We also have native ThemeCo caching so you no need to install any caching plugins.
Regards!

Laura LParticipantI do understand that you guys have caching (that’s why they turned my plugin off when I switched to Themeco hosting), but I really liked having the options bar run across the top when I’m editing. . . things “purge page cache” “Purge all caches”. If I enable that plugin again, will it conflict with your caching and cause problems, including slower speeds? Also I can’t see whatever cache plugin I was using listed anymore on the plugins page . . . would you know what plugin I might be describing?
Thank you,

RadModeratorHi there,
Another caching is more likely going to make it slower. Caching under another caching is not really advisable. Plus, our hosting’s caching uses memory which is faster and reliable on file based caching.
I recommend not to install another caching plugin, but if you wish to use minification or CDN, then you may use that plugin but just make sure to disable the caching feature.
Thanks!
