Hi, several questions regarding login
So I’m using the “Theme My Login” for my login.
1. When I put the shortcode in text editor, the login template shows up fine on my page. However if I edit through cornerstone, and put the shortcode in the text element, the login template will be missing “Registration” and “Lost Password” links on the template. I want to put the shortcode in the text element through Cornerstone because I want the login to be centered and I can achieve this easily through Cornerstone.
2. I have Login and My Account on my primary menu. The Login text switches to Log Out when “Log in” is true. How do I make it such that if the User is logged out, My Account doesn’t appear on menu? For My Account, I am using tabs from Cornerstone, so when the user is not logged on and clicks My Account, the user is redirected to the Login page WITH the tabs on My Account page.
3. The Login text switches to Log Out automatically when “Log In” is true. I want to add an icon shortcode for the Log Out text. How can I do this?

Thanks for posting and giving us your admin credentials.
1.I tried putting the login shortcode and showing the 2 links. You may not see it on Cornerstone preview because the link maybe white. So it’s white text on white background. I tested in on Cornerstone draft page.
About #2 #3 this is not native of X. Did you added some custom script to change Login to Logout? Or is this handled by the Theme my login plugin? It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding. Take care!July 8, 2015 at 8:13 pm #324955Hi Thanks for your reply!
Sorry but was something changed? For some reason when I go to my Login Page and click edit with Cornerstone, it redirects me to Profile page.
Yes I also realized that the text becomes white when I put the shortcode in the text element, but is pink when I don’t put the shortcode through Cornerstone. How can this be fixed?
July 8, 2015 at 9:30 pm #325037Hello There,
When you are in Cornerstone, it means that you are already login. So upon clicking the login page, it will redirected to the profile page because you are already logged in. This goes the same with the registration and lost password. Sorry for the confusion, the text is not white at all. It is not simply showing because you are already login. This is might be bug in your 3rd party plugin. The dots should not be there.
Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.
Thank you for your understanding.
July 9, 2015 at 12:10 am #325193Okay, I understand. That is very odd though. How can I edit my login page through Cornerstone if it keeps redirecting me to another page? I already deleted that page and now it redirects me to an error page. I can only edit if I’m logged in but I cannot edit my login page since I’m logged in? Is this considered a third party issue as well?
July 9, 2015 at 12:38 am #325219Hello There,
Since your login page is not using Cornerstone, simply go to Pages and select edit your page. You can edit this page in Cornerstone because it is not created in Cornerstone. Please see the screenshot: http://prntscr.com/7qkbyl
Hope this helps. Kindly let us know.
