xsimon59ParticipantHi-
I’m running 49.0.2623.110 m on Windows 8.1. http://bostonhypnosis.com/wordpress/test2/
Check out the Lightboxes down at the bottom of the page. Straight cut/paste of your demo code and they don’t work. Cursor changes to a hover and the image lightens a little, but when pressed, nothing happens. If I do the same thing in Explorer, they work fine. same behavoir even with all extensions turned off. Can you help?
-Brian
P.S. It would be a HUGE help if you had a simple video tutorial online for how to use a lightbox for making a video pop up from an image. As a relative newbie, it took me a really long time to try to figure this out. I didn’t find this https://community.theme.co/kb/shortcode-walkthrough-lightbox/ to be beginner friendly at all.

ChristianModeratorHey there,
I checked and the lightbox works.

Please try reinstalling Chrome and restarting your PC.
Thanks.

xsimon59ParticipantOK, I reinstalled Chrome and restarted my computer. It’s still doing the same thing. Is there anything else I can do? I’d like to get video going in a pop-up window, that’s why I’m doing this…

Paul RModeratorHi Brian,
I have added an image in your test page that will open a youtube video.
Please check – http://bostonhypnosis.com/wordpress/test2/
Tested in Chrome browser – http://screencast.com/t/NLe0H1CF4AM
Thanks

xsimon59ParticipantTotally doesn’t work on my end. Same behavior – cursor changes to a hover and the image lightens a little, but when pressed, nothing happens.
Does it relate to this at all – ? https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/bug-report-ilightbox/
Are there any steps I can take to get this working?

JackKeymasterHi there,
Thanks for writing back, I’ve tested this and unfortunately still can’t replicated.
It shouldn’t be related to that other thread referenced, as it has been updated since then. Do you have any form of ad-blocker or anti-virus installed? Sometimes modals/lightboxes/popups can be blocked by either of these element and it will give the impression of being clicked with the hover state color, but you won’t actually see the content.
Thank you!

xsimon59ParticipantNo, unless there’s something that could secretly be running as something other than a chrome extension, I’m not. I’ve turned off off the extensions and it still won’t work. Is there some other type of way that would make Chrome want to block pop-ups?
Lightboxes on this page work: http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/shortcodes/responsive-lightbox/ dont’ work either.
I’ve checked for plugin conflicts and that doesn’t seem to be it either.
BUT if I go to http://www.ilightbox.net/, they work fine. Does that help you at all? Is there anything else I can do? Woudld really like to get this working…

RadModeratorHi Brian,
Lightbox is not a popup, it can’t be blocked by any popup blocker. Another support here and the lightbox works on my end, and it’s smooth.
Would you mind providing some details about your device currently using? And what browser ad version.
Thanks!

xsimon59ParticipantI’ve got a Surface Pro running Windows 8.1 Pro. My browser is Chrome Version 49.0.2623.112 m. According to Google it’s completely up to date.

JackKeymasterHi Brian,
Thanks for the additional information, I’ve checked the site on a iPad and iPhone as well as a desktop PC and it all appears to be working correctly. When you mentioned the Surface Pro, I thought it may be a issue with a touch screen device but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Do you happen to have any other devices you can check/test the site with?
Thank you!
April 14, 2016 at 3:10 pm #882993
xsimon59ParticipantNo, this is my only Windows device. It works fine on my iPhone, though.
Are you testing with the same configuration – Windows 8.1/latest version of Chrome? Is there anything else I can do to fix this? This is my development machine and I assume that I’ll have users out there who are configured similarly.

RadModeratorHi Brian,
Another support here and it works on my Win8.1 Latest Chrome too, but I’m on desktop. Would you mind trying in other devices (no touch feature) other than the Surface Pro but with same OS and browser?
Thanks!
April 16, 2016 at 10:33 am #885802
xsimon59ParticipantThanks, but I don’t have access to any other Windows devices and this is the computer I actually work on. I tried (reluctantly) to upgrade to Windows 10 and it didn’t make any difference. Exact same behavior. I also just updated my version of Chrome. Same thing.
So I guess I’ll just have to wait until you incorporate the current version of iLightbox into X. If you have any other ideas/potential hacks to get this to work in the meantime, I’d love to hear them. Thanks.

RadModeratorHi Brian,
Unfortunately, there is no plan for iLightbox library yet. But you can always edit this file and replace the code with the latest version.
\wp-content\plugins\cornerstone\assets\js\dist\site\vendor-ilightbox.min.js
Thanks!
