Magik WebParticipantHiya!
We’re aware of Envato’s licensing system and we read many posts about similar elements. We have to take a decision about our new “mini website” product and decide on a theme we will use for the base frame.
The initial setup is:
magikweb.net/website1
magikweb.net/website2
magikweb.net/website3
magikweb.net/website4But we offer the option to buy a domain name and map it for them, so magikweb.net/website1 would become website1.com. Would the installed theme still work? (but would be unable to update?)
The cost for the mini-website is lower than the Theme X cost itself, if we have to buy a new theme for each client, we will simply use a different theme or Twenty Seventeen maybe.
Thank you for any follow-up!

RahulModeratorHey There,
Thanks for writing in!
Licenses work on multisites or even multiple isntalls as long as they are on the same domain. For example http://www.yourdomain.com/region1 to http://www.yourdomain.com/region7 will work, however region1.yourdomain.com will not work and will require separate licenses for each if you are doing separate installs.
You would need to do a WordPress multisite install and validate on the main domain meaning set the API key for that domain. In a multisite install you can set it to use folders (www.yourdomain.com/region1) or subdomains (region1.yourdomain.com) the main domain controls the theme settings accross all sites so if you validate there it gets passed down to all sites within the multisite network.
Hope this helps clear things up. Thanks!
