I updated to latest X and cornerstone today and now my website isn’t working right. No content showing except for header. Edit page in cornerstone says loading is taking to long and script conflict which DID NOT exist before the update. All was working just fine. Appears others are having same problem with latest update to X and cornerstone. So now what?

I deactivated Yoast SEO and the site started working again. It’s also pretty fast too with that off. Did you happen to update that today as well? As it’s a third party plugin, I’m not sure what would cause it to slow the site down and prevent the home page from loading. We’ll look into the possibility of any conflicts with the plugin on our end.
March 28, 2016 at 10:30 pm #856052Oh thank you! Yes I see its working again. I would never have thought Yoast SEO would cause a problem. Yes it was updated today, along with X and cornerstone. That is strange that there is a Yoast SEO conflict.
What do I do now though? If I send a note to Yoast about a conflict with latest X theme, they will say not our problem.
March 28, 2016 at 10:31 pm #856054I wouldn’t say it’s a conflict with X or Cornerstone. I just checked some other sites and they are working ok with Yoast running. It could be something specific to their recent update not playing well with your server configuration. Contacting their support would probably be the next best move.
You could also try reinstalling the Yoast update, or resetting that plugin back to default settings.
March 28, 2016 at 10:34 pm #856055Also, I can now edit a page with Cornerstone again.
With Yoast SEO enabled and latest X theme update, Cornerstone didn’t work.
Working now though again. Really strange conflict. Been using Yoast for years on numerous WP sites. But this is the only site using X theme.
March 28, 2016 at 10:38 pm #856062Strange indeed. A totally random thought, but I also noticed the “SO Hide SEO Bloat” plugin. It’s a stretch, but maybe that plugin deactivated something that was needed during the Yoast update, which corrupted the plugin settings. You could try deactivating that plugin, activating Yoast, and resetting Yoast to default settings.
March 28, 2016 at 10:45 pm #856072OK I will try that. Thanks.
March 28, 2016 at 10:51 pm #856080Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
March 28, 2016 at 10:54 pm #856083Baffling! Yoast SEO is enabled again and all is working fine.
“SO Hide SEO Bloat” was already deactivated. You may have done that. So I re-enabled it, and all was OK. Still worked fine.
I have no clue what happened.
March 28, 2016 at 11:11 pm #856112That’s great news! Thanks for letting us know.
