Just downloaded and installed latest version of x-theme. I’m running WP 4.4.2 with PHP 5.6 and child theme.
After updates site displayed ok but editing functions broken catastrophically.
The main issue was that the customise editor (Cornerstone?) was broken to such an extent that no area actually responded to clicks.
The attachment below shows what I saw.
Additionally some areas of the normal WP interface broke. For instance, I could no longer see anything under ‘media’ – I don’t know whether this is intended or not, but I didn’t have time to investigate, as I restored the original original site immediately. Everything now works as it did before.

This certainly isn’t intended. It could be the result of stale resources being cached after the update. When you have time to look into it again, I would advise testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
We can also take a closer look if you’re able to reproduce the issue after updating.
