After the latest upgrade, does anyone else have a “js_composer” folder in their uploads directory? Not sure how it got there, or why its even there.

We don’t have that in the uploads directory. You can safely delete it.
Thanks.
June 12, 2014 at 9:46 am #55552I would encourage others to take a look too. I didn’t put it there -and- the folder permissions were set to 777.

Thanks for letting your fellows X customers about that.
Cheers.
February 29, 2016 at 11:30 am #817046This still occurs and it is placed there from the visual composer plug-in I believe. This would possibly explain why Themeco staff doesn’t have it since I would gather they are using their own plug-in Cornerstone.
The folder is set to 777 and my server states that it is a security risk. Is this really and issue for those that use visual composer over cornerstone?
February 29, 2016 at 8:13 pm #817590Hey there,
Sorry for the confusion. I found the folder in one of my test sites. That is where VC stores custom CSS. But, I deleted the folder and tried adding custom CSS in a VC page again and it didn’t come back. This looks like it comes from an old version of VC. Please delete it and if it comes back, let us know.
Thanks.
