Hello,
I updated my website http://www.gocerebral.com to the new x-theme, cornerstone and WordPress recently to try and fix loading issues I was experiencing in Chrome. This did not fix anything, instead I also had some customizer settings change on my site. I decided to restore an old backup with old versions of plugins and WordPress. This fixed the customizer settings, and things look OK on Firefox or incognito windows. The big issue is that even after restoring Chrome is coming back with 1,000+ errors all associated with Cornerstone (see image). I tried different cache solutions as well as updating everything again and restoring again. When I go into customizer on the restored version my settings change, but the text and images that are not being loaded do load within customizer. Please help!
February 4, 2016 at 12:42 am #779370Hi there,
Thanks for writing in! It seems you are using (restored) a very older version of Cornerstone that might cause the issue. I’d suggest you to use updated theme and plugins. If you face any issue after upgrade, you can fix those on a staging server first and then move to live site. Let us know if you face any issue with the updated theme and plugins.
Cheers!
February 4, 2016 at 8:41 pm #7808131) After updating WordPress to latest version.
Chrome still not loading cornerstone jQuery unless in incognito.
Firefox no change, site is working without errors.2) After updating X-Theme to latest version.
Chrome same errors with font change.
Firefox site is loading, but fonts have changed.3) After updating Cornerstone.
Chrome same errors as before, incognito works.
Firefox, when logged in, site is completely broken! Site only loads correctly in private window or when logged off. When customizer is opened site will load, logged in, but customizer settings will change.4) Old customizer settings loaded.
Heading fonts still wrong and Navbar spacing wrong.
Site still not loading in Chrome.
Firefox, after deleting cache, site working when logged in. Customizer settings still changing when opening Customizer.I can fix customizer setting manually, this is not a pressing issue. When site loads in Chrome jQuery errors still appearing even after updating. Deleted cache and tried Ctrl+F5 several times. Site loads in incognito only.

February 5, 2016 at 1:57 am #781152Hello Valerie,
I did check and your site is loading fine:http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cDnhiLh8xi. There’s just one javascript error. Please do give us access on a private reply so we can check the error on the console.
To adjust Main Menu link spacing, please go to Appearance > Customize > Header >Navbar Letter Spacing (em).
Hope this helps.
February 5, 2016 at 4:49 am #781301Having same jQuery Error.
Please help, our site’s uptime is very critical!February 5, 2016 at 4:53 am #781307Just experiencing problems using chrome (as Valerie said in question #1)
February 5, 2016 at 11:55 am #781952Hi there,
Thank you for writing in! I’ve checked your site and there was no jQuery error shown in browser’s console (see attached) and your site loads fine on my end. Please clear your browser’s cache and reload the site.
Thanks!
February 5, 2016 at 8:01 pm #782504This is very strange it seems to be a cache issue, like while updating the site cached, and then for some reason this cache cannot be deleted. Themeco Staff, your screencast shows only what I see in an incognito or private window. I cannot see this normally within Chrome, even after deleted browser cache. Would you suggest to go within the FTP files and delete the cache folder in wp-content (if I remember correctly this is the cache location for WordPress) or would you suggest deleting the cornerstone plugin files manually and then downloading cornerstone again from extensions? Please advice on how to delete and re-install cornerstone if this could be a solution. Thank you!
February 5, 2016 at 8:03 pm #782506I am getting the same issue when I load x-user mlcgi’s site. Perhaps the version of Chrome? I just updated to a new version of Chrome after having already experienced the issue, will look into this again and restart computer.

Thanks for providing for the login credentials. Since you have installed a caching plugin WP Super Cache and WordFence, please clear your plugin cache before testing your site. This can cause the changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately. Caching plugins are best to turn on only when you’ve finished building the site.
And please make sure that everything WP, theme and all active plugins is up to date. Most of the time, outdated theme or plugin could create an issue in your site. After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
Please let us know how it goes.
February 8, 2016 at 1:16 am #784930Everything is updated, plugin cache for Super Cache plugin has been deleted. Cache plugin has been deactivated. Google Chrome browser cache deleted. Website still not loading.
February 8, 2016 at 1:45 am #784957Hi Valerie,
I’m another support member and your website is loading fine for me on Chrome 48 on Mac. However, I can see there’s still one jQuery error in your website. This is because of the incorrect selector in your Responsive Text shortcodes (see: http://prntscr.com/a0gg87). So please try removing greater then sign (>) from the Responsive Text shortcodes and see if the issue resolves.
Thank you!
February 8, 2016 at 4:48 am #785165Hi again, well i’ve tried 3 different computers now, updated everything and still getting the error (cornerstone features like counter, featured list and even the contact form 7 wont show) unless i use icognito window.
Also my portfoliopage isn’t working either, the main portfolio page looping on the loading symbol, and some of the single portfolio items are not showing their images.
Help requested. -
