Hi,
Yesterday I received the following error if I tried to log in to edit the site or to access the site at http://auburnsocialmedia.co.uk
‘Warning: require_once(D:\Hosting\12009218\html\wp-content\plugins\jetpack/_inc/genericons.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\Hosting\12009218\html\wp-content\plugins\jetpack\class.jetpack.php on line 377
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘D:\Hosting\12009218\html\wp-content\plugins\jetpack/_inc/genericons.php’ (include_path=’.;C:\php\pear’) in D:\Hosting\12009218\html\wp-content\plugins\jetpack\class.jetpack.php on line 377′
I tweeted @GoDaddyHelp and their reply was > ‘Looks like your Jetpack plugin needed to be re-installed which we have done for you. Now you need to review your content^KJ’
So since they have done that, my main webpage is now up and running and I can access the editor – however the link to my blog isn’t working
I have learned that Jetpack allows your blog to be accessed on your site – and I’m guessing this is where the error lies. I have Updated the Jetpack plugin today and according to the main plug-in dashboard it’s activated – however when I click on the settings of the plugin there is a bar at the top saying ‘connect to wordpress’ – so I’ve clicked that and tried to log in however it’s asking me to log in to wordpress.com but my host is godaddy and I am using the wordpress.org app on the hosting.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
April 11, 2014 at 3:29 pm #32694Hi Matt
Can you login through this URL?
http://auburnsocialmedia.co.uk/wp-admin
Jetpack creates a “single sign on” which allows you to use WordPress.com credentials, and link them with accounts from self hosted WordPress installed. You can read more about it here: http://jetpack.me/support/sso/ So technically, you still have a user account on your self hosted site – Jetpack is just allowing you to authenticate via WordPress.com instead of a password.
Regarding your blog link not working, can you please try resetting your Permalinks? You can do this by going to “Settings -> Permalinks” and clicking “save” WordPress caches it’s permalink rules for performance, and some events may cause them to become corrupt. This action will clear the cache and allow them to rebuild.
April 14, 2014 at 9:28 am #33357Hi,
Thanks for your reply, as if it was just that simple just to click save in the permalinks section for it to work.
Just out of interest, do you know why I got this error in the first place? As I hadn’t changed anything with the site?
Thanks,
MAttApril 14, 2014 at 9:30 pm #33500Hi there!
This might be because of a corrupted file from your installation which can be remedied by downloading the wp files again and overriding your installation. Regarding the blog, saving the permalink settings should trigger the flushing of rewrite rules which in most cases can fix 404 pages and paginations.
Cheers!

I just tested and I’m not getting any broken area. Except the missing image from admin bar and broken forum Add-Media feature.
I can’t access your jetpack setting and can’t do much testing. Would you mind allowing your given account to edit jetpack settings? Please provide screenshots of what you’re getting too ( screenshots of both when jetpack is enabled and disabled ).
Thanks!

Yes, confirmed this issue. Would you mind disabling all of your jetpack modules? And check them one by one of which will cause this issue.
Thanks.

November 20, 2014 at 11:08 am #149305Hi there,
I’ve tried the two advice about Jetpack + X theme but it’s not solve my issue : the page loading anormaly increase and take minutes instead of few seconds.
The only solution is to show down jetpack plugin. I had hope because of the last X theme update seem to solve my problem but he came back apparently…
Any ideas ?
