    I have an error message from WooCommerce saying this:

    “Your theme has bundled outdated copies of WooCommerce template files. If you notice an issue on your site, this could be the reason. Please contact your theme developer for further assistance. You can review the System Status report for full details or learn more about WooCommerce Template Structure here.”

    WooCommerce will also not respond to my changes of the page layout on my store page, meaning there is a footer and sidebar when I don’t want them, which is my main issue.

    The WooCommerce notification told me to give the following information to whoever was going to attempt to fix the problem:

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in!

    To fix the WooCommerce issue, download this zip file (https://cldup.com/WafLVro-da.zip). Extract it and patch your /wp-content/x/woocommerce/ by overwriting it with your downloaded patch.

    You may use any FTP client like FileZilla to upload your patch (https://filezilla-project.org/).

    Use your hosting info like cPanel account as your FTP login.

    Though, that will still display some out of date templates. It’s simply because X theme woocommerce templates are only made compatible to the woocommerce’s version the time X theme update’s released. And that’s the latest template we have.

    We can’t just release X theme update on every woocommerce update because some changes on woocommerce templates are just version, and changes on actual code are very rare. Template coding could change if it’s major update that contains large gap on coding and structure.

    Also we have included some important information in the following notice (https://theme.co/x/member/forums/topic/woocommerce-2-3-x-issues/).

    Thanks!

    Thank you for the patch, but I’m still experiencing the same issue. I know that you just said that X can’t update constantly, and I totally get that, but do you think there is another way to solve my problem? It occurs to me that I didn’t explain the problem very well, which might not even relate to an out of date template.
    This is store page that isn’t displaying properly: http://www.ezrazworld.com/?post_type=product
    There is some random stuff on the right and there is a footer at the bottom. I have a template selected that should make that stuff disappear, but it is still there only on the store page. Do you think there is something else I can do to get rid of that stuff?

    Thank you for your time,
    Ezra

    Hi there,

    Would you mind providing some screenshots of what’s not and what should be so we can compare them?

    We aren’t sure yet with compatibility since the last X theme update is for previous version of woocommerce. We have to wait for next update and all we could do for now is offer temporary tweaks.

    You should test your theme and plugin updates on a test sites before applying them on live site. It’s the best practice to avoid site’s downtime 😉

    Thanks.

    On this normal page you can see that there is no footer or sidebar: http://gyazo.com/0bbf75a75ebacbe32f1615d56078e072
    This is the store page and it is zoomed out so that you can see everything: http://gyazo.com/cb8a21556d63aac37d7171105c3734cc
    The things that I do not want to be there are the footer on the bottom and the sidebar on the right. The weird thing is that I have the same setting on both pages so they should both not have the sidebar and footer.

    BTW I’m not using a test site because I’m designing the site from scratch so it doesn’t have any traffic yet. Thank you for the advice though 🙂

    Hi there,

    The simple explanation is template are usable on normal pages, while woocommerce pages can’t.

    http://gyazo.com/0bbf75a75ebacbe32f1615d56078e072 this uses Blank – No container | Header, No footer template. And you can’t apply that on woocommerce/shop page.

    Instead, just add this css at your customizer’s custom css.

    .post-type-archive-product.woocommerce-page .x-main {
    width: 100%;
    float: none;
    }
    .post-type-archive-product.woocommerce-page .x-sidebar, .post-type-archive-product.woocommerce-page .x-colophon {
    display: none;
    }

    Cheers!

    Thank you so much! So, can I use this same kind of format to get rid of other unwanted items? For example, can I get rid of the following items on this page?
    This thing: http://gyazo.com/06c6f3b2e2559b208e2c538b848fddd9
    This thing: http://gyazo.com/a825e779ff328f33506f40dd1b797321
    This large gap that is there for no reason: http://gyazo.com/68ce64b8800c741a94cc884cef15e183
    Here is the page: http://www.ezrazworld.com/?post_type=product

    Are you finding the elements to remove using inspect element, or did you just already know how to remove those specific things because they are a part of the X theme?

    It looks like WooCommerce just overall is really weird. I’m not sure if it will really work with what I’m trying to do. I think I might just try to make my own shop without any shop plugin. I’m selling items where there is only one of them anyway, which WooCommerce isn’t really designed for. Thank you so much for your help though!
