I’m setting up some large content pages & wanted to make sure they are SEO optimized. I’ve read about HIDDEN or NON-ACTIVE content in short codes like ACCORDIONS & TABS being detrimental to the SEO of that particular content.
Please explain if the current short codes are SEO optimized or if using something like the TABLE OF CONTENTS is better.
Also, if the accordions & tabs are not best for SEO, is there a workaround to satisfying search engines while having hidden content?

June 5, 2014 at 8:09 am #52842Hey guys,
As told above, all collapsible content and accordion text are indexed, so you don’t have to worry about that. But yes Yoast is a great SEO plugin to help you with this.
Cheers.
June 8, 2014 at 3:53 pm #53810Ok great thanks for the fb everyone. Can you then link directly to a specific tab or accordion?
For example, link to a page with 5 tabs where a specific tab or accordion is active rather than just the default? I’ve done this in the past but not with this theme so if anyone can give a quick best practice for doing this that would be great.
June 8, 2014 at 11:11 pm #53939Hey Cory,
You’ll need a plugin for linkable tabs like http://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-responsive-tabs/
We’ll take note of this as feature request and might implement linkable tabs and accordions in a future release.
Thanks.
June 30, 2015 at 9:43 pm #317721I have similar concerns. Have any SEO improvement been done to Accordion in the brand new 4.0 version?
July 1, 2015 at 3:34 am #317924Hi,
Accordion still works the same in version 4.0
Please refer to the link below for more information regarding hidden content
