Hi,
As you know, when we purchased the X theme from Theme Forest, we received the Revolution Slider plugin with the purchase. I am new to WP, so excuse me if this is a basic question. I am trying to create a new slider, and download one of the templates
In order to import slider I am running in to 2 problems:
Local import – I need to download the zip file: news-hero.zip
I cannot find this zip file. I have X > framework > plugins > revolver.zip. Once I click on the zip, I now have rev slider > and I cannot find it from here. What am I missing?
Online from ThemePunch Server – says I need to active slider:
I have activated plugin on WP
I have created an About page, and activate slider there
Is this something you can help me with???
Thank you! I can’t find the answer in their tutorials, nor in yours (of course, I could be missing it). Would something have gotten missed in my downloads ???

September 30, 2015 at 9:25 pm #605711Hi there,
Thanks for writing in! First you need to install Revolution Slider plugin in your WordPress site. You can easily install that via X Addons -> Extensions section.
Once you have the plugin installed, you can get the example slider templates from the following link (http://revolution.themepunch.com/free-slider-exchange/).
Revolution Slider new 5.x documentation is available here (http://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/slider-revolution-documentation/).
Hope that helps.
October 1, 2015 at 10:05 pm #607445I do have the plugin installed and activated.
I have gone to the first link you have given me and I can download template per download button, but what I get from download does not work. In order to for it to work, I am getting a pop indicated i need a ZIP file. What I can download are not any zip files. And I have tried it from a large variety of the templates – even the most basic ones.
I emailed support at ThemePunch and they told me that I can’t use any of the slider templates unless I purchase the plugin from them directly.
Is that the case?
October 1, 2015 at 11:51 pm #607542Hi there,
Thanks for writing back. Maybe they didn’t get you correctly and they said about the premium examples. You can download the free slider examples and import to your site without purchasing a separate license of Revolution Slider. I am not sure why you are not getting the zip file as you mentioned What I can download are not any zip files
You can download the zip file from this link http://revolution.themepunch.com/free-slider-exchange/
See – http://prntscr.com/8msdd6Then just import the template from Revolution Slider menu – http://prntscr.com/8msdq4 and http://prntscr.com/8mscxs
Hope this makes sense.
Cheers!
October 2, 2015 at 10:02 am #608212Hi!
Thank you for getting back to me. Ok….so this was driving me nuts….following your instructions exactly. Still not working. Then the 2nd link you shared ( http://prntscr.com/8msdd6) (that shows the arrows when hovering over download button, and shows the ‘zip’ at bottom), made me think maybe I need to change browsers…So, I was using Safari, and then open up Chrome – and BINGO, zip file was there!!!! Not sure if it is something universal with Safari or just on my Mac (new iMac) – but thaT may have been the problem.
I will give this ago. Assume the problem is solved….unless you hear back from me.
Thank you!!!!!

It will not work, you have to purchase a regular license from them.
Thanks!
June 9, 2016 at 10:28 am #1034169Hello,
another problem, this time with importing Slider Revolution template… I get a blank page with 0 in the top left corner when i try to import a Demo slider locally (imagehero.zip file from my computer). It’s not working in Safari, I tried Chrome instead, the same 0 appears…
Any ideas whats wrong?
