Hello,
Is there any way to give the Cornerstone Image element the same treatment as the Card element? I would like to recreate my galleries using Cornerstone (currently I use the Huge-It plugin but am having some image blurriness issues due to image optimization the plugin uses). The problem is that I can’t find an element or combination of elements in Cornerstone that will elegantly accomplish this. Huge-It is pretty darn good that way, but the blurriness and load-time trade off is starting to be a problem. It would be great to have the simple, streamlined functionality of my current gallery but using Cornerstone. The only thing I see in the element list is the Card, but it doesn’t allow you to select an image.
Here is one of my current galleries: http://www.lauraletchingerart.com/all-work-gallery
Here is my current Cornerstone test page: http://www.lauraletchingerart.com/cornerstone-testI had some additional notes on the front of the card on the Cornerstone Test page, but for some reason they are not showing up now. They were: “Need to be able to put an image here instead of an icon. And to control the font size, transparancy and location of text. And to get rid of border. Need image size to be responsive for mobile, and for the card “box” to adapt to the dimensions of the image.”
UPDATE: I see now that the icon can be replaced by an image! Back to playing around with this. . .
Thanks very much. I’d love to hear your ideas.

Thanks for writing in! Card element has an option if you want to use an image or an icon. But, regretfully Card element is not design for this kind of content. Instead, you might want to utilize the Block Grid element with responsive lightbox shortcode.
Hope it helps, Cheers!

Yes it does looks good. Upon loading in looks messed up in Chrome and Safari. You need to resize the browser before it will re align and display nicely. This is a known bug and a fix is already underway. It will be rolled out in our next Cornerstone 1.0.6 release update.
Hope this helps.

An X release update in already enqueued in Themeforest. Once they approved it it will be updated and rolled out. Maybe it’s a good idea to wait for it in a day or two. This will surely fix everything then.
Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.
August 22, 2015 at 10:12 pm #366371Awesome. I’ve been working all day and feel I’m getting the hang of Cornerstone. I really like it, but am becoming more and more aware of certain bugs, like the ones I mentioned, and also the padding problem for custom headlines. I’ve read alot of forum posts about it; seems like it’s been an issue since last year? People seem to have solved it in the past by adding custom CSS in the “class box” for the custom headline, but when I’m in the custom headline element there is no such box to enter in code. So I’m confused about that. I’m thinking this bug will be fixed in the next X release you mentioned, yes?
Thanks!
