    Hello,
    I am in the process of building a website for the company that I work for. We have decided to use the X Theme for many reasons, and we have decided to use it for both our under construction template as well as our main/finished sites template.

    I have majority of the under construction template complete but I am just trying to add a video between our logo/header and countdown. I have tried both Youtube and Vimeo by going to the Under Construction menu and adding their short codes to the extra text menu but this did not work and it just showed the code after updating and refreshing.

    Any tips or help is greatly appreciated!

    Hi there,

    Please try to use the actual embed or iframe code of the video in the post instead of adding it using a shortcode.

    Thank you for the reply!

    I think thats where the problem stems from.. I am not using a post/page- I am doing this from the under construction home page. I have used both the embed code and iframe. I don’t know where I should enter the embed code/iframe, besides on the “Under Construction” settings page- SHOWN HERE.

    I was entering the code into the EXTRA TEXT field and whenever I entered the embed code/iframe/short code, the URL/set parameters all change and all of the fields are left empty (after saving/updating)– and of course the video DOES NOT appear or function at all.

    Any more help that you can provide is greatly appreciated!!

    I just connected to my site via ftp and went to wp-content > plugins > under construction > site > undercounstruction.php and added an iframe embed code in between the extra text and the counter (which is exactly where I want the video) and it still doesn’t work!

    Please help!

    I’ve also tried to use Video Lock with no luck.

    Hi there,

    Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – Link to your site
    – WordPress Admin username / password
    – FTP credentials

    Thank you so much! You don’t know how much this was bothering me.

    Just so I know for future reference- what kind of code did you add to the php page? I couldnt get the iframe code to work.

    Hi there,

    We have just added the iFrame code in the php code.

    You may check it in wp-content/plugins/x-under-construction/views/site/under-construction.php

    ugh I had a different iframe code in its place, which I am sure you saw.

    the video file displays fine. If you wish to change it, please connect to FTP and navigate to wp-content/plugins/x-under-construction/views/site/under-construction.php
