Its a fresh install. I don’t see customizer option . How do I import customizer settings?
August 22, 2014 at 3:32 am #89939Hi there,
The Customizer is now moved to Appearance > Customize in the latest version of the template.
The Import/Export has been moved to the Tools section of the WordPress admin menu.
Additional details of the changes made in the latest version can be found at http://theme.co/x/member/forums/topic/release-notes-x-v2-3-0-x-shortcodes-v2-3-4/
Thank you.

You can access to import/export via Tools -> Available Tools Then chose to import your demo content.
Thank you.
August 27, 2014 at 10:32 pm #93682I just wanted to suggest that you update your documentation re where to find the Customizer. I bought the theme today and first thing I did was question if my install worked as I didn’t see the Customizer option as the documentation promised.
I think it’s best to always offer a solution when a problem is found, so here is my suggestion with a bonus -> I fixed a typo too! 🙂
OLD:
To get to the WordPress Theme Customizer in X, go to “Customizer” in the WordPress Admin Panel. Once you are there, you will be presented with a screen consiting of the options panel on the left and the preview of your site on the right.NEW:

September 18, 2014 at 8:06 pm #107688I had the same experience as Petey. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the theme to make sure I had done it right. I watched the video on installation and the customizer which inaccurately displays where the customizer is. I suggest you update the videos or make some kind of note in the description of the customizer intro video.
Customizer Introduction
We took the native WordPress Customizer and wanted to turn it into something greater. Get an introduction to the Customizer and how to use it, including a walkthrough of the import/export functionality that you’ll only find here in the X theme.
Add something like Petey suggested:

All videos are updated now, so definitely take a moment to check those out when you can! 🙂
September 20, 2014 at 8:52 pm #108948Hi,
I may be mistaken, but I don’t see any change on the video I was referring to:
http://theme.co/x/member/video-tutorials/customizer/
(I am referring to the first video called “Customizer Introduction”)
BTW, I love the theme and think there is a lot of great support material.
Thanks.
September 20, 2014 at 11:29 pm #108989Hey MK,
Please try to clear your browser cache.
Thanks.
September 21, 2014 at 1:43 pm #109215I don’t think the video is updated. Did you actually look at the link I posted?
Here is a screenshot from another browser which was never used to view the video. Actually I am not sure how to attach an image. All I see is the ability to name a url link. Is there a way to attach an image to a post without using a url?
Anyway, if you follow the link I posted it is in the video tutorials and is the first video on the customizer and the screenshot I was going to post was from 14 seconds in.
Thanks.
September 21, 2014 at 9:17 pm #109360Hi there,
I’ll forward your concern about the video. Should be updated and for the mean time, you should find it at Admin > Appearance > Customizer. And export/import should be Admin > Addons > Customizer Manager for 2.5.0 and up ( or Admin > Tools > Available Tools ).
Thanks!
October 10, 2014 at 3:37 pm #123245So glad this was mentioned in the reply above: “And export/import should be Admin > Addons > Customizer Manager for 2.5.0 and up.”
I’ve been searching and searching for this, and the other posts about exporting customizations all refer to this in Tools > Available Tools, which is not the case!
