    Hi there

OK Spoken to go-frick-a-diddly again! As its managed wordpress I apparently have no access to updates etc as these are handled for me by godaddy. He went along and updated anyway and the problem is still the same, it appears however that if I use mozilla it doesn’t crash the page.. but still does not display my media files.

Beginning to think that i might need to start this from the ground up! dump woocommerce and use sell media or something?

    regards

    James

    Hi James,

If your Godaddy hosting has issues with media uploads, then even premium media won’t be different. have you tried these?

The problem with managed WordPress is you don’t have total control with its setting. And it’s mostly shared hosting which might be slower.

    Thanks.

I also had this problem. With all x themes on a server, but no other themes. Have been like this for a year. The server is working error-free with every other theme and plugin. It´s a premium ssd server. With x theme i cannot upload pictures in one of them, it just comes up as broken links in media library, and in the other install it shows up, but i cannot insert it into any pages. I also think it should work on godaddy, it´s one of the biggest hosts. Have the thought occured that you might be doing something wrong?

I think I fixed it by giving all folders and subfolders permission 755 in ftp and then all files in every folder permission 644. But it didn´t change all of them and I don´t know how safe it is now.

    Hi there,

X theme doesn’t have controls with File system’s permission. It’s just a theme running on WordPress. It’s your hosting provider that gives permission during the installation.

I have the same theme on my installations and I don’t have this issue. It could be that upon installation, your site set its own permission. Well, X theme won’t able to run during that time since it’s being installed. Even if it runs, X theme doesn’t have the functionality to change permission. You can change the permission as long as reading and executing are allowed for file owner.

    Thanks!
