Spaulding.danielParticipantHello, I tried adding a script to my functions.php sheet and when I updated the file it crashed my site giving me the “HTTP 500 Error” and now I can’t access my admin page to fix the problem. Can you tell me how I can access my admin page?

Prasant RaiModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in!
Please remove the code through FTP or site’s file manager. It can be found at wp-content/themes/x-child/functions.php (assuming that you are using child theme).
Or you can provide us your FTP or cpanel login in private reply.
Thanks.

Spaulding.danielParticipantI’m using x theme hosting and I have no idea what the ftp or cpanel login is. How do I find those?

ThaiModeratorHi There,
I signed in to your hosting account and fixed the issue.
There was a syntax error under functions.php file locates in your child theme.
Please note that the custom Javascript should be put under Customizer > Custom > Global Javascript.
Regards!

Spaulding.danielParticipantDo you have a write up or a tutorial I can view on how to access my site through ftp? This isn’t the first time I’ve had something like this happen and I would like to be able to fix it myself if it happens again.
Thanks!
