quintParticipantHello,
I have added a video to the Background of the Revolution Slider. The video plays fine on the desktop. It does not show at all on either an iPad or iPhone. Could you provide guidance? Thank you!
My site is live and can I can provide you with credentials.

quintParticipantHello,
I’ve changed from Background to adding the video as a Layer. So, please ignore the last post.
The only issue now is that despite specifying in the arguments, hd=1, and wmode=transparent, what plays on the iPad is a low-resolution version, and the player background is black, not transparent. Also, the video isn’t centered.
Could you provide direction on (for the iPad):
1. Setting resolution at the highest level by default (1080p). My wifi connection is fast.
2. How to change the black background to transparent.
3. Centering the videoThanks!

RadModeratorHi there,
Thanks for posting in.
Video autoplay isn’t allowed on mobiles, hence, video background will not work.
Would you mind providing your site’s URL that has this video and your Admin login credentials in the private reply? Video layer is part of the slider, and we don’t have control its player, hence, I can’t promise a solution for that. But I like to see if it’s possible to change some setup.
Thanks.

RadModeratorHi there,
Ah, I see, glad to hear that.
I’m not sure if the resolution is changeable through HTML5 videos. Even youtube requires API programming and some work around. It could be your device that throttles it.
I still love to check it, though, there is no site’s URL that I could check 🙂
Please let me know. Thanks!

RadModeratorHi there,
The masthead image will respond to the height of the slider. It’s background as cover, if you set its width equal to the device then there will be a gap or negative space under the image. What you could do is enable Respect Aspect ration option within the slider setting.
About the video, it automatically switches to lower resolution when viewed on mobile since it’s controlled by youtube. I tried, but can’t be controlled.
Thanks!
