November 18, 2014 at 9:35 am #147655Thank you. I’ve updated X, and still having a few issues:
1. Video in slider does not play in Firefox
2. Parallax image shows up as just black in Firefox
3. Mobile versions do not look very good
4. Issue with the menu dropping down to a second line when browser is smaller size and on mobile
Thanks for your help.
November 18, 2014 at 3:01 pm #147910Hi there,
1. The video is playing just fine in Firefox, did you check it after clearing your browser’s cache?
2. For the parallax image you’re using in a content band is either corrupt or not uploaded properly. I am getting an error while viewing it. You can check it here http://www.socialleadershipacademy.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Chicago-Skyline1.png
3. Can you please explain issues in mobile version so can take a closer look and suggest you the solution accordingly?
4. To fix the menu dropping down, Please add the following CSS code via Appearance > Customize > Custom > CSS:
@media (max-width: 1258px) { .x-navbar .x-nav>li>a { letter-spacing: 1px; } } @media (max-width: 1183px) { .x-navbar .x-nav>li>a { letter-spacing: 0; } } @media (max-width: 1109px) { .x-navbar .x-nav>li>a { padding: 34px 1em 0; } } @media (max-width: 1040px) { .x-navbar .x-nav>li>a { padding: 34px .2em 0; } }
Let us know how this goes!
November 20, 2014 at 7:57 am #149154Thank you for your reply.
1. I have tried clearing my browser’s cache and the video still won’t play… that’s very odd to hear that it’s working on your end.
2. If it’s not loaded properly then why does it work in Safari? If it’s corrupt, do you have a recommendation on how to fix this issue?
3. It’s actually looking a lot better on mobile now that I’ve updated to the most recent version of X. Thanks.
4. This code definitely helped, but it still needs to be tweaked a little. There is a certain size when the menu still drops down. Would I just play with the numbers until it works perfectly?
November 20, 2014 at 8:02 am #149158Oh, I forgot to mention. The video in the top slider does not load on my iOS devices.
November 20, 2014 at 7:49 pm #149588Hi there,
1. For firefox, please use other video format other than mp4, (eg. webm)
Specified "type" attribute of "video/mp4" is not supported. Load of media resource http://69.195.124.199/~sociaow8/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/The-Social-Leadership-Academy-Recruitment-Video-for-Class-of-2015-2.mp4 failed.
Try playing this on firefox http://69.195.124.199/~sociaow8/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/The-Social-Leadership-Academy-Recruitment-Video-for-Class-of-2015-2.mp4 ( if you’re on mac, you will have to allow QuickTime for it to play, though QuickTime will download the entire video first )
2. That’s because player (eg. QuickTime) are allowed or integrated to safari (If you’re on MAC)
3. Okay cool!
4. Yes, you may play with the padding 🙂
5. Yes, not playing on IOS, though I can’t find any issue. Would you mind providing your slider? You can export specific slider and upload to your site, then provide the download url here.
Thanks!

directly as .mp4 or webm, also as permalink, but nothing works. – black background, only my flying logo works 😀where is the problem?
it´s only work when i integrat the video directly into the slider, but not with the above or below function of x-them!
what´s that?please help….
thanksDecember 13, 2014 at 8:11 am #163956Hi There,
I just check the source code of your page and I can’t find any .webm video file, All I can see is the .mp4 format.
You could try using video layer instead of background video in your slides (see: http://prntscr.com/5105a5) as it gives you options to insert .webm and .ogv video URL along with .mp4 video format (see: http://prntscr.com/5106bf).
Hope that works for you.
Cheers
