Is there anyway to allow basic html content in the excerpt/content that Essential grid pulls from a post and displays? Just like
<strong><em><ul><li><br />
?January 3, 2017 at 10:38 am #1314337Hi there,
Try adding a custom excerpt that contains the html tags to the post.
If the excerpt option does not show up, open the Screen Options found on the top right part of the post edit screen and enable Excerpt.
Hope this helps.
January 3, 2017 at 10:44 am #1314351Oh i have a manual excerpt created with the post. The problem is that Essential Grid strips the tags from the excerpt. I’m wondering if there is a way to edit the plugin to allow basic html tags.

Sorry for the confusion. Excerpt supposed to be plain text as it won’t render the HTML/Shortcode when you share on social media.
Thanks!
January 3, 2017 at 11:17 am #1314397Yes but even if it pulls from the “Content” area, Essential Grid still strips the HTML.

Thanks for writing back. I meant the excerpt area where it display the excerpts which supposed to be plain text no matter where it comes.
Cheers!
