I want to copy a file from framework/views/[name of file] to the same path in my child theme.

But when using an FTP client like Filezilla, filezilla doesn’t let you copy and paste files so how do you copy the files to your child theme?

I tried creating a new file in my child theme and just copied the content of the file over but it always crashes my site.

Any thoughts?

What you can do is to download the file you like to copy and upload it again to the child theme’s folder. For example, the framework/views/copy-file.php, you download this first to your computer and then you navigate your child theme’s folder and upload it again in wp-content/themes/x-child/framework/views/
