    I’m very confused. I have the child theme of Ethos active. When I click on details about the X theme, it tells me I have Version: 4.2.2 (which to date is the latest). But when I’m in wordpress, and I select Dashboard > Updates I see:

    Plugins
    Your plugins are all up to date.
    Themes
    Your themes are all up to date.

    There is nothing within WordPress telling me to update cornerstone! I wouldn’t even know that an update is available. I currently have Version 1.0.6 of cornerstone. How do I update this to the latest version of cornerstone? And in the future, how do I know when there is an update?

    Hi There,

    Thanks for writing in! First thing is to confirm that your site is validated. You can do that by navigating to Addons > Product Validation then hit Update API Key button. If it is Successfully Validated, navigate to Dashboard > Updates then hit the Check Again button.

    This will force the WP to check for an update. A list of plugins and themes that has an available update will show below. Then check the corresponding box of the plugin that you need to be updated.

    If this does not work. Please provide us with login credentials so we can take a closer look. To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – Link to your site
    – WordPress Admin username / password

    Don’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

    Hi there,

    In that case, please delete Cornerstone Folder which is under “/wp-content/plugins/” within your server and then you can install it again in the Dashboard, via X Addons > Extensions. This will pull the latest version from our repository.

    Or else you can manually update by going through this guide here (https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/cornerstone-site-wont-update-loading-problems-in-editorcornerstone/#post-297321).

    Deleting it worked, so thanks, but what do I do in the future? How will I know there are future updates?

    Hi There,

    You will be notified in your email added in your wordpress or in your wp-admin that there is an available updates in your plugins or themes.

    Re-validate your setup API-key if still not auto updating or not notification for latest updates.
