This has been covered using child theme solutions. What I am looking for is a custom function I can pop in that will do the same thing. We want that giant CATEGORY ARCHIVE text to say the current Product Category name, but would prefer a function rather than editing your PHP file in a child theme. Can you help?
Thank you!

Thanks for writing in!
You can edit your category archive title to change the text of it. See attached!
Hope this helps!

Category Archive is a default archive title located in the landmark header. By default, the archive title is empty and it is empty it will just display “Category Archive”. To resolve your issue, please go to Products > Categories and please edit each of your categories. You have to insert an archive title. Please see this screenshot: http://prntscr.com/czg0ii
Once you have inserted an archive title, you will see the archive title instead of the “Category Archive” when viewing a product category page.
Hope this make sense.
