I have two questions:

1. When I click on the “NEWS” menu link (which is the Blog in the Agency Expanded Demo theme) the sidebar appears on the left hand side/margin of the page, not the right hand side as per the demo on your site.

I can’t see a way to move that over to the right hand margin/side by clicking on Customize, and Cornerstone doesn’t appear at the top of the page as an option to edit the layout either.

2. In the future I would like to position a display ad image in the right hand margin which would link to other pages. Can that also be done? If so, how can that be done?

Hi there,

#1 Please change sidebar position under Customize -> Layout and design.

#2 Please add a text widget and insert following code :

<a href="#"><img src="put image URL here"></a>

#1 worked perfectly…thank you!

#2 worked, however, because it places the display ad way down the very bottom of sidebar — under CATEGORIES which as you know is below ARCHIVES, RECENT COMMENTS, RECENT POSTS, and the Search function — which makes it fairly useless as it really needs to be very prominent and just below the Search field. It actually couldn’t be any less visible.

Is there a way of placing the display ad either between the Search field and RECENT POSTS or in between any of the other sidebar sections (ARCHIVES,RECENT COMMENTS & RECENT POSTS)so that it’s more visible?

Hi There,

When you add your widgets on your sidebar on Appereance > Widgets it you can drag and drop the widgets up and down and choose the order you want.

I’ve been online for over 16 years.
