    Hi there,

Love working with X, but I cant seem to figure out how to center the navigation? And do you plan to insert a option for hamburger navigation style (mobile navigation type, but in big screens)

    Thanks

    Hey Tatjana,

X does not currently have a way to center the navigation via the Customizer. This might be something we’ll consider for a future release though. Additionally, the navigation on all sites will collapse down on devices less than 979 pixels wide; however, there is no way to make it always collapsed, even on a desktop. Is there a particular reason why you want your navigation collapsed on larger screens?

Cool you will consider it in a future release. If I need to center the navigation in the Integrity Stack now, can you please tell me the right css code to archive centering the navigation?

As for the collapsed navigation I would love to have the option in my designs, since it is a huge tendency in webdesign right now. It is also more of a slide out effect I am wishing for. You can see ex of the slide out effect I am talking about here:

    Thanks, Tatjana

    Tatjana,

Are you using the fixed or static navigation?

I am using fixed for this site.

Btw, I have a custommer who wants to use a pagebuilder instead of the shortcodes. Can you tell me which pagebuilder that will work best with your X theme?

Thanks again for a great X theme

    Tatjana,

I’ve attempted a few workarounds regarding centering the navigation, but they all present a couple developmental challenges due to the fact that the Navbar height is set in the Customizer. Because of this, it isn’t a viable option at this time. We will definitely see if there is anything we can do to make this an option across all Stacks.

Regarding page builder plugins, we intentionally avoided utilizing or building one on our own to avoid the added overhead. We’ve mostly found that they are overly complex and contribute to code bloat. We personally can’t recommend any that will work best with the theme, as we haven’t tested any for production use, and anything you use will likely require some amount of custom integration with the theme. I would recommend finding one that best fits what you’re trying to accomplish is easy to integrate. There are some free versions available, such as the Page Builder plugin by SiteOrigin, as well as plenty of paid options at sites like CodeCanyon.

Hopefully this helps. Let us know if there is anything else we can do for you at this time.

    Hey there great support,

Thank you for the center navigation attempt. Sorry it didn’t work out. I will look so much forward to have this option in a future release. If the center navigation function will be in a future release, can you give me a hint about when (I know, no promises 😉 But are we talking weeks or months?)

What about the slide out navigation request? Will that also be in a future release? Or could I fix this with a premium plugin?

Thanks once again for your great support! 😉

    Tatjana,

We currently have some other additions and improvements in the pipeline, but we certainly take into account all user feedback and work to decide on where we feel it best falls in our development timetable if it’s a feature worth pursuing. Regarding both the center navigation and the slide out navigation, each of these are great ideas and we will need to spend some time looking into them further to see how feasible they are. This isn’t simply a developmental pursuit, but it’s also something we need to consider with our Stacks (i.e. Could a slide out navigation work well in any stack, or is it something to add into a new stack as a unique feature?) in the theme.

It’s hard to give a firm answer, but if it’s something that we can find a way to make it work cleanly, it will likely be months down the road. This is only because we have a big list of other features and improvements we already have planned for everyone. 🙂

There might be some plugins out there that allow you to recreate the slide out navigation idea, but you will likely need to implement some custom developmental changes as well (i.e. removing the old navbar from whichever stack you’re using, implement some custom styling, et cetera). If we happen to come across one, we’ll be sure to notify you.

    Thanks!

Thank you so much for your detailed respond. I look so much forward to see the additions and improvements in the pipeline. Very exiting! As mentioned I love the X theme, but I think the most crucial improvement has be the shortcode handler. All the red icons – can tell what they stand for and I have to hoover over them all to see which shortcode it is. I think you should create a builder – Yes, great idea 😉

    Have a nice evening,
    Tatjana
