Hello,
I looked at these three articles:
http://theme.co/blog/now-with-buddypress-compatibility/
https://theme.co/x/features/buddypress/
https://community.theme.co/kb/integrated-plugins-buddypress/
Nowhere in these articles is there any links to download the X modified version of BuddyPress.
And nowhere does it mention HOW to get this BuddyPress working in X.
I installed BuddyPress using the WordPress plugin installer. And BuddyPress looks NOTHING like these four X demos:
http://theme.co/x/demo/ethos/1/activity/
http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/forums/
http://theme.co/x/demo/renew/1/forums/
http://theme.co/x/demo/icon/1/forums/
BuddyPress looks like hell and seems to want 1,001 CSS changes to make it look decent (or anything like these demos).
1. How can I get the X Version of BuddyPress and
2. How can I make it look like the demos?
Thank you,
Chris
March 6, 2016 at 6:25 pm #826160Hello Chris,
Thanks for writing in! When you install X and activate Buddypress with it, it will simply work out of the box. You might be looking at the wrong example. From I see, you checked out the Forums which would use the bbPress plugin. Here are the BuddyPress demo links:
http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/activity/
http://theme.co/x/demo/renew/1/activity/
http://theme.co/x/demo/icon/1/activity/
http://theme.co/x/demo/ethos/1/activity/When BuddyPress is activated, X will display the option settings which you can utilize to setup several BuddyPress settings. To know more about the BuddyPress settings in your customizer, please do visit our knowledge base here: https://community.theme.co/kb/customizer-buddypress/
Regretfully we do not have any available BuddyPress demo data for you to download. Simply install buddyPress in your site and use a 3rd party plugin, https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-default-data/ to populate with contents.
Hope this helps.
March 7, 2016 at 10:23 pm #827971Thank you!
These demos look so much better than the BuddyPress I installed (as a plugin) on the site.
March 8, 2016 at 2:04 am #828193You’re welcome.
March 8, 2016 at 6:19 am #828430Regarding this sentence:
“When you install X and activate Buddypress with it, it will simply work out of the box.”
HOW and WHERE do I activate BuddyPress?
I’ve looked at the X Extensions page, plugins, X Customizer — BuddyPress is nowhere to be activated.
If I download BuddyPress to install it the version is the wrong version.
Thank you,
Chris
March 8, 2016 at 7:32 am #828579Hi there,

https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress/developers/Thanks.
March 8, 2016 at 12:05 pm #829035Thank you.
THAT LINK would be helpful for all users if it was added to these pages:
http://theme.co/blog/now-with-buddypress-compatibility/
https://theme.co/x/features/buddypress/
https://community.theme.co/kb/integrated-plugins-buddypress/
…and any other pages that talk about X-Themes and BuddyPress.

March 8, 2016 at 12:40 pm #829069The current version is not what is specified above (2.4.0).
It is 2.5.0
https://drive.google.com/a/wph2o.com/file/d/0B6HqpZXAFxXWZldFNFJoTWxVY1U/view?usp=drivesdk
Can I go ahead and use this version?
Will it work with X?
Will it look anything like the X demoes?
March 8, 2016 at 9:23 pm #829632Hi there,
Thanks for updating. According to our Changelog current compatible version is 2.4.0. So you hsould use the compatible version to avoid any issue.
Cheers!
March 9, 2016 at 5:30 pm #831146How do I find the compatible version?
The link given to me (above) goes to a NON-compatible version.
March 9, 2016 at 10:30 pm #831488Hi there,
It should be available from the plugin’s URL (eg. https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress/download/) which is already given as above( https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress/developers/ ).
This URL to be specific, https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/buddypress.2.4.0.zip
Thanks!
