Hi X theme peoples, is there an easy to way to customise category pages? I just need a single template for all the different categories.
Thanks!
November 27, 2016 at 6:36 pm #1272523Hello There,
Thanks for writing in! At the moment, there is no custom category template in X. The category template relies on the blog index page in X though there are a few settings that you can modify in the customizer. You’ll have an option to display it in fullwidth or with a sidebar. You can also have a standard blog layout or display it in a masonry grid format. Simply go to the customizer, Appearance > Customize > Blog.
If you want something unique, you need to have a few customization. You might be interested in checking out this threads: https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/archive-integrity-page-customize/#post-233376
Hope this helps.

December 2, 2016 at 2:34 am #1278541Hello There,
The archive pages (category, date, author or tag archive) relies on the WordPress generated content. The only you can edit the appearance of these pages is to customize their respective template. You can check out more information about how ant of these archive pages works by reviewing the codex: https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/basics/template-hierarchy/
Regretfully there is no other way that you can see your changes as you make customization to these pages. These pages is not the same as creating a page with Cornerstone or writing a post using Cornerstone.
