    Hello,
    I’ve managed to put a box behind this menu item to make it stand out, but cannot figure out css to make active and hover text white. Can you help?

    Hi There,

    Please add the following CSS under Customizer > Custom > Global CSS:

    li#menu-item-131 a {
    color: #fff;
}
li#menu-item-131 a:hover {
    box-shadow: none;
    color: #f0f0f0;
}
