I am trying to make gallery like enfold in single portfolio page but I am not finding a way in x-theme to mold like that, can you please help me know, how can i make gallery like this in screenshot

I also have tried gallery extension provided with x-theme, but format is different, without big img.

Hi There,

To do that, please go to your Portfolio Item and edit it. Under Portfolio Item Settings > Media Type: Select Gallery. Then upload the images on this portfolio item. Click Add Media button and then upload each images you want to include on this gallery. It’s different from the sample you have given but that is what available by default. can i have some solution, so that i can finish my project soon 🙁 actually it was easy to handle in enfold, and i am not used to of using x-theme so sounds difficult to me. i also have used gallery provided in the theme and have used short code in place of featured image but thumbnails are generated with that but not same format i require.

Hi There,

Actually you just need to upload the image while you’re on the post. You don’t need to make a gallery, as long as you set the Media Type to Gallery it will automatically create a slider base of those images you uploaded on that post.

Though the default slider on X|Theme is a flex slider, this is a very basic slider that has only minimal controls (to optimise your site performance). Other users use the Responsive lightbox for their galleries.

If you need a slider that has advance controls (like thumbnail navigation) you can utilise the Revolution Slider extension instead.

Means if I want to handle gallery like this, I need to handle it my own…….. x-theme doesn’t have this facility, like enfold had this by default.

one more thing, what ever I use to handle this, how can i get that on featured image place on single portfolio? do i need to make changes in “framework\views\ethos\content-portfolio.php” ? or I can handle it from cornorstone or settings etc.?

Hello There,

X theme has the media gallery feature. Regretfully the thumbnails is not available. Unless you insert a gallery shortcode, then it is possible but will not affect the bigger image when you click on the thumbnail. The feature image is already there, you just have to add a featured image for your post. Would you mind providing us the url of your site with login credentials so we can take a closer look?
