Hi!

I’m needing to add the Houzz icon along with the other social icons in the footer.

I’ve followed the instructions found in various posts here adding the code to the functions.php in the child theme with the specific houzz url designated in the appropriate location.

However, nothing has changed – no icon in the footer and there is no difference in the customizer options.

Am I missing something?

Set your Houzz icon URL in the following line (<a href="#") and replace # with your link.

Yes, that is exactly the code I entered to functions.php as mentioned above. But nothing changed. Is there another step? Should this make the icon appear along with the other social icons, or add the option in the customizer?

Upon checking your site, child theme was not activated. Please activate it and insert the code in child theme’s functions.php file.

No, it won’t give you option in customizer, you should edit this line in provided code :

  <a href="#" class="houzz" title="Houzz" target="_blank"><i class="x-icon-houzz" data-x-icon=""></i></a>;
