Hi,
I have suddenly hit a massive problem with my site. Instead of displaying the home page it is suddenly displaying a list of my pages.
I have no idea what has happened as I haven’t touched that page for months. My address is http://www.waterarthouse.co.uk/AmblesideOnline.
I’m panicking as the site is due to be uploaded for the client today and this has suddenly happened.HELP!!!
March 23, 2016 at 4:33 pm #850139Hi there,
Thanks for writing in! You can head over to Settings -> Reading section within your WordPress backend and then your homepage and post pages under “a static page” option.
Hope that helps.

For the last few months the static home page has existed as a slideshow. It suddenly disappeared last night skinned under a white container with a list of ‘pages’ not posts. Again I stress that I have changed nothing on that front page. The issue you will see suddenly appeared. As indeed the sudden issue of being unable to create any new pages at the moment until the issue is resolved.March 24, 2016 at 4:28 am #850816Hey Sarah,
Upon checking your Appearance > Themes, you have 2 X themes in there. Please delete the other one that is not active. Also, please update Cornerstone. X theme nor its extensions does not have a function to duplicate itself. For further investigation, please seek assistance from a WordPress developer to know the root cause of this issue.
Thanks.
March 24, 2016 at 1:16 pm #851329Hi,
I’ve paid a wordpress developer to get rid of the links that suddenly appeared,
He has done that.
Now I am left with a white band across the top of the screen which the WordPress developer says is a theme issue.
It is appearing on any new page that I create.
Please help!March 24, 2016 at 5:39 pm #851654Hi there,
Could you please try disabling the footer widget areas under Appearance -> Customize -> Footer.
Also please make sure that you’re fully updated. You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.
If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.
Thanks!
