Hey!
I’m trying to replace the slider I have above the one page navigation with a regular hero image because the slider is severely slowing down my load time. Is there a way to do this using theme x without the revolution slider plugin? Also, while I would prefer for there to be a down arrow that takes users to the first section of the site (like the slider allows now), I am not tied to this functionality if it means I can simply have a hero image and faster load time.
Best,

February 9, 2015 at 3:25 am #202083Hi,
No it doesn’t work fine, I don’t want the revolution slider there at all, I want there to be a hero image below the footer. Can you please help with that? Refer to my first question in this thread for what I’m trying to do.
Thanks!
February 9, 2015 at 9:49 am #202350Hi there,
The only option for now is revolution slider above masthead, You can set an single image there, The reason why the slider is slow now is image’s size, Please optimize it, Also dimension is high, Maximum recommended width for image is 1600px, While yours is 5615px.
Hope it helps.
February 10, 2015 at 5:50 am #203022Great!! That helped a lot 😀 Thank you.
A few more thing, I’m trying to center my circle images in the people section of my site can you help me with that?
Also, I would like to make the name/position under the images link to a page and open in a new tab but when I try the href shortcode it doesn’t work :/

#1 In middle column before image shortcode there is a symbol which caused the image to drop on second line, Please switch to text editor and delete it.
#2 You need to use HTML, Instead of using custom headline add
<a href="#" target="_blank"><h2 class="h-custom-headline responsive-subheading center-text" style="margin-top: 0px; color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-size: 30px;"><span>Kevin Brown</span></h2></a>
in Text section of editor.#3 Try to use absolute URL like
http://kuratedbranding.com/#x-content-band-4
Hope it helps.
February 11, 2015 at 2:24 am #203816Thanks for the advice, however I think there was a misunderstanding with #1
#1 I was referring to the far left and far right photos, they are not center aligned to the text underneath them.
And with #3
#3 How can I apply a specific menu to specific pagesFebruary 11, 2015 at 2:32 am #203822Thanks for the advice, however I think there was a misunderstanding with #1

#3 How can I apply a specific menu to specific pagesFebruary 11, 2015 at 2:00 pm #204243Hi there,
Thanks for updating the thread!
for #1 You can add this under Custom > CSS in the Customizer or in your child theme’s style.css file.
a.x-img.x-img-link.x-img-circle.none { max-width: 280px!important; margin: 0 Auto!important; }
If yo wanted to align the center image horizontally with the outer image please follow the previous post about removing some code.
regarding #3. Regretfully applying specific menus to specific pages isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding.
However reading your original question from the previous post, if you are wanting a one-page nav for you homepage and a different navigation for the rest of the site this is possible.
First create a menu for the rest of the site and set it as the primary menu.
Second if you want menu items to link back to the home page and to a specific section.
Create a custom link with a full URL like so: http://kuratedbranding.com/#x-content-band-4On the home page select your one-page nav menu in the page settings. Save and you should be set.
Hope this helps – thanks!
February 23, 2015 at 8:03 pm #213494Thanks for the help! However referencing the   in my code, I cannot find that syntax in the text editor at all. I find it when I use the inspect element tool in chrome but I can’t find it in the code editor on my wordpress “console”. Does it use a different name in the text editor?
February 24, 2015 at 1:53 am #213673Hi there,
Have you tried switch from visual to text in the classic editor? Most of the times it will display nothing in visual mode and will display in text mode.
Hope this may help you
