Hi,
I’m receiving a lot of errors in google webmaster tools for Hentry. Ive attached an image. I dont really understand all of this I just know it’s creating a lot of crawl errors. I’ve attached a photo. I read around a bit and see others have had the same issue. Would you be able to help out with this?Thank you for your time,

Thanks for writing in.
Please check this thread https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/how-to-resolve-hentry-markup-errors/
And you may use the forum search to search “hentry”, there are variety of solution available
Wordpress automatically add hentry to post class and google expect that every hentry has equivalent information of an article. If we will prevent WordPress from adding hentry, google will declare it missing.
Post class are commonly used for loops, and can be used for post slider or any structure that uses posts. But, you can’t make the slider as article since it’s for display purposes only. Selectively removing hentry is the only solution, at least for now.
Thanks!
March 28, 2016 at 9:00 am #855101Thank you. Can I add this just by going to Appearance>>Editor and pasting it into the functions.php file? Or do i have to go into filezilla or something and if so where do i find the functions.php file in there?
Thank you for your help
RenaMarch 28, 2016 at 10:35 am #855208Hi Rena,
It’s better to go into FileZilla and then navigate to wp-content/themes/x-child/functions.php file.
Hope it helps
