Hi there
2 questions how do I show a sentence or short excerpt for each blog post on this page
http://amotherplace.com/blog/

and also how do I get the copy at the top of each blog post and this page removed where it says Blog with the homepage symbol and then on the actual blog posts e.g.
http://amotherplace.com/company-news/were-proud-to-join-the-b-corp-community/
it says that the top >Blog > We’re proud to join the B Corp Community! we would like to get rid of that copy

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in!

#1. Excerpts are not available for Masonry layout on Ethos. You can set Standard layout or use other stack.

#2. Looks like you are referring “Breadcrumbs” that you can disable from Customize > Header > Breadcrumbs.

3) sometimes the images that I am using don’t show up properly here. What size should these images be and how do I ensure that they fit the image box on this page correctly. The Title text cuts off some of the image

Hi there,

Hope you are doing well today.

#1. You can set this from Settings > Reading.

#2. Looks like you have added this code that’s causing this :

.x-container > .offset {
	margin-top: 0;
}

If you are doing this for other pages and want space on blog page, you can add this under Custom > CSS in the Customizer.

.blog .x-container > .offset {
	margin-top: 35px;
}

#3. You should use a squarish image here. Like 500×500 or similar dimension.

sorry I do have one more question – I upload images as 600 x 600 to the media area. Can I just then select to use this as featured image and it will show up on this page http://amotherplace.com/blog/
Do you see what I mean by the fact that it has been cut off? AM I able to make the copy at the bottom of the square further down so that you can see all the image?

Hi There,

Both blog index page:http://amotherplace.com/blog/ and single post page like this:http://amotherplace.com/pregnancy/i-have-been-drinking-heavily-and-i-didnt-know-i-was-pregnant/ will use the same image by default. Yes, I can see the issue that is has been cut off because the original image is rectangle 600×400 while on blog index page where using square type of image. You can set to use 600×600 since there’s no issue displaying that on single page.
