    Hi,

I’m currently building my site site using WP and Xtheme, you can find the site at, http://www.scarlettrosebikinis.com. The trouble I am having is that I can not get changes to activate in the header. I create a custom menu it doesn’t activate but when I change themes to any of the wordpress preset theme its is there. Also I uploaded a logo to the header and edited the header area in the customizer press save & publish, then go to the live site and it’s no longer there. I’m using WP version 3.8.2 and Xtheme version 1.7.5

    Please help

    kind regards

    Hi Brett,

First we would suggest you to update theme along with plugins you can find more about it at URL below.

Also try deactivating any extra plugin you may have been using which may be causing conflict.

If you still face such issue then revert back to us with following.

Does changes show in live preview while you are using customizer.Include WP login and don’t forget to check Set as private reply button this will ensure that credentials are only visible to our support team.

    Hi there!

    Thank you for the update.

On Appearance > Menus, make sure that you select the correct Theme Location for the menu. On Menu Settings below the menu items, set it as Primary Menu.

    Cheers!

I have tried that and it doesn’t active then when i go back the appearance>menu the location is then deselected. Could this be the problem.

    Hi Brett,

Yes, this would be the problem. It’s not saving that setting. This is what I was experiencing before, when I saw you were on an earlier version.

I’ve tried testing for a plugin conflict, and I don’t think that’s the issue. I did notice that you have a low memory limit on this site. It’s possible that WordPress can’t complete the request of saving that setting because it hits the memory cap.

Can you try increasing the available memory? I’d recommend 64M to start, then 96M if needed. You can learn how to do this here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

When I changed the wp-settings I got an error on the website which I was unable to get rid of. So in frustration I uninstalled word press form my web server, then re installed it. I then changed the wp-settings to 64mb memory and reloaded x theme. It all works properly now, as far as I’m aware.

Thank you for you assistance again.

    Kind regards
