Hi there,
How do I add a tagline that comes up in a Google Search after the line “|”
Sample search result:
Theme X | The Best Theme ever
http://www.website.com
Thank you!November 9, 2015 at 6:05 pm #658817Hi There,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. But the | (vertical bar) separator is default in X Theme. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification (perhaps some screenshots).
Cheers!

You can add Meta Title, Meta Description (what google displays on the search page beneath the title) and keywords with a plugin.
A simple one is “Add Meta Tags.” A more powerful one is Yoast SEO.
Hope this helps, its my first time responding in the forum 🙂
November 9, 2015 at 11:49 pm #659093This usually comes from your site title. You can change the Title and Tagline from Settings > General from your WordPress Dashboard. See – http://prntscr.com/912htr
However if you use any third party plugin like SEO by YOAST as shared by @gp7 then it would be more easier to control this and all other SEO settings.
Cheers!
