    Hi there,

I’ve been reading many threads on this forum regarding how to add Google Adwords conversion code and from what I’ve gathered, I simply need to add the X Child theme, activate it, then add a bit of code to the child theme’s functions.php page, is that correct?

If so, I’m comfortable with all those steps however, when I [activated] the child theme, my shopping cart in my sidebar disappeared.

Just to mention, I’m NOT using WooCommerce but a plugin called “WordPress eStore Plugin” by tipsandtricks-hq.com. It’s just a simple paypal type “cart” and I have the cart in my sidebar that is fixed to the top so as a visitor scrolls through my salespage, the cart stays fixed up at the top/right so it’s always visible.

So, when I activated the X child theme, the cart just disappeared. Even when I clicked the “add to cart” button, it still didn’t appear but I could tell the product was added to the cart somehow. It’s just that the cart isn’t visible.

I’m using Icon + Cornerstone and one of the X-theme pre-built sales pages.

Anyway, I need to add my conversion tracking code ASAP so, is there a reason my cart is disappearing from my sidebar and is there a way to prevent the child theme from making it disappear so that I can add the tracking code to the child theme’s function.php?

    Many thanks

    Scott

Oops…terribly sorry for wasting any mods’ time!

I just realised that when the child theme was activated that I simply had to drag over the WP Shopping Cart widget to the right sidebar.

No need to reply as I’ve got my cart back! 🙂

I’ll post back here if I get stuck with the tracking code otherwise, you can close this thread if necess.

    Cheers
