Hi there I asked about this on themeforest before purchase yesterday and was told that support would walk me through the process. I need to create an effect such as the one on http://beyonce.com where a youtube fullscreen video playlist runs upon page load on a onepage. I was told that the native player doesn’t allow for sound but that by using the included Revolution Slider I would be able to achieve the fullscreen effect with sound. I’m using the Integrity stack but need a walkthrough on how to set up 1) the Revolution Slider to make the video playlist work and 2) properly integrate it into the onepage so that I achieve the smooth effects as seen on http://beyonce.com and the Integrity 1 Demo site.
January 15, 2014 at 10:56 am #5984Hey there,
Thanks for writing in! We will be happy to assist you on this, and the first thing I would recommend you do is take some time to read through our documentation and watch our video tutorials, specifically the one labeled Customizer: Sliders under the Customizer section in Video Tutorials. This will walk you through how to manage your sliders via the Customizer and how you can place a fullscreen slider before all of your content.
Before you manage any sliders though, you will need to first create your slider using the Revolution Slider plugin. If you have any questions regarding how to use the plugin, we strongly recommend that you consult the Revolution Slider documentation as it will walk you through every feature of the slider in great detail. That being said, it sounds like you’re simply trying to add a video to your slider from YouTube, and to do that, you’ll simply need to select the Add Layer: Video button. Upon doing so, a popup will appear that will walk you through how to add your YouTube video to the slider.
Again, as stated on the ThemeForest comments this is all managed through the slider and will not be in a “popup” that you can close out exactly like on Beyonce’s website, but it will get you very close.
After you have gone through all the steps above, if you still have any questions let us know. Thanks!
January 15, 2014 at 11:45 am #6013Could you export the revolution slider params for this example?
And maybe these customizer settings…January 15, 2014 at 11:55 am #6017Hey Oliver,
The customizer settings for each demo are available in the Demo Content area. We cannot provide sliders as they do not export images or styles, so importing them is effectively not very helpful. If you watch the video mentioned above we walk you through all of the pertinent global styles you would need to make this work, but styling individual sliders is something you will have to do on your own.
Thanks!
January 15, 2014 at 1:03 pm #6031Hey Support,
maybe my eyes are really tired.
thank you very muchJanuary 15, 2014 at 1:54 pm #6039Oliver, no problem! Let us know if you need anything else!
January 16, 2014 at 8:34 am #6178Hi there thanks for all the detail in your explanation. Does this sort out the audio element and youtube controls? That was discussed in the pre purchase comments as well and the Slider Revolution method was prescribed as a workaround for both of those – I need audio and I need the ability for the viewer to click on the screen as on Beyonce’s site to pause playback.
January 16, 2014 at 11:30 am #6212Hey there,
Great to hear from you! As discussed on ThemeForest, the background image method does not play audio or include controls as it is intended for a “decorative” effect, not function. Adding a YouTube video as a layer to your slider will allow the YouTube controls to be visible and playable. If you need both audio and the ability for the viewer to click on the screen to pause playback, you will need to use a video layer embedding your YouTube video.
Thanks!
January 16, 2014 at 10:23 pm #6323Ok great! Going to do that and then let you know how it works. Thanks for the message!
January 16, 2014 at 11:40 pm #6332No problem!
February 6, 2014 at 8:46 pm #11915Quick question about this. I have it kinda set up, video playing in the background and full width. How do you make it stretch to the screen when it first loads? So it will be full width and full height depending on the viewers screen size.
February 6, 2014 at 10:40 pm #11953Hey Tyler,
This is outlined in our Customizer: Sliders video in the Video Tutorials section under the Customizer subsection.
Thanks!
April 12, 2016 at 8:05 am #878234I have this same question – will jump over the videos and see how I can make this work.
April 12, 2016 at 8:15 am #878249Hello – I am searching for the video you mention below but can not find it anywhere – Please help!

April 12, 2016 at 3:20 pm #878882Hi @skeeterharris,
Thanks for writing in. This thread is an old one and many functionalities changed since then.
You can still make use of Revolution Slider to create the Fullscreen Youtube Video. Please see these links that might find useless for this setup:
https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/main-background/
https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/video-layers/You can read more topics about Revolution slider setup here: https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/slider-revolution-documentation/
Once the slider is setup and you’re aiming to place it in the page header area, you can check on the Slider Settings: Above or Below Masthead of the page.
Hope this helps.
