    Hello,

I have 3 questions regarding the revolution slider:

    1) I am attempting to create a slider w/ a responsive background image that fills the full width of the browser, similar to teamtreehouse.com or the way it already works for background image functionality in the VC rows.

The problem is that when I turn ‘force full width’ on, the slider fails to load the background image at all. The image is of adequate width and should display. Here’s the site: zuess.com/version3.

    2) Why does the webpage load oddly when the revolution slider is enabled in the masthead? By that, I mean it appears like the body content loads before the browsers knows to load the slider and it creates a very odd effect, where the 2nd row appears where the header should be, and then suddenly jumps down into place ones the slider begins to load. I have seen this happen with other people’s websites using the revolution slider and theme X as well. Any idea why?

    3) Is there any documentation that comes with the revolution slider like a user manual? There is very little explanation of how it works.

    Many thanks in advance!

    B

    Thanks for chiming in Bo.

    Barret,

    1. Please choose Fullscreen option in your slider settings

    2. We are aware of this and might release a fix in a future release. For now, I recommend that you not use large images in order for the slider to load fast. You can try out Bo’s solution.

    3. Here is the Revolution Slider Documentation.

    Hope that helps. 🙂

    Thank you for your reply.

The link to the slider documentation was helpful, but I have to admit that your other suggestions are not.

    1) Of course I already tried this. Your response to this is simply meaningless and mildly insulting.

    2) However, all of this is a moot point because I cannot even use the slider when the loading of the body content before the slider makes the website appear poorly constructed. I do not have the time to spend trying Bo’s solution. I suggest you fix this before claiming that you “tightly” integrate w/ revolution slider. It is unusable as is, at least as a page header.

@Support “For now, I recommend that you not use large images in order for the slider to load fast.” -> It has nothing to do with the images size, the same happens when you just use a background color and no image. Barrett is right, this issue makes it unusable for this case.

@Barrett Once I figured out the solution it only took 5 min to fix and it works great. Let me know if you need pointers.

    Hi Barret,

I’m sorry you felt insulted. Please understand that it’s important for us to post the simple answers. Not everyone here is on the same level, and we need to operate on the general assumption that users are less knowledgable. This isn’t personal, it’s just to avoid confusing anyone. There’s just no way for us to know anyone’s level of expertise. It’s also helpful to other users who may end up reading this threads.

I’m afraid there’s not much more we can recommend at this time. Bo has a great solution that I’d recommend giving a try.
