I am having trouble figuring out how to have a full width image at the top of every page (below the header), but the text with thick padding… but can’t figure out how to do it.
I’ve changed the templates to full width (but this brings the text right out to the sides of the page) and also container (but this means the image is no longer full width).
Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots and you site URL), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.

Hi & thanks for your speedy response.
    My url is: http://jakedionnewedding.com
On this page: http://jakedionnewedding.com/the-big-day/ I would like all images to be full width. However, when I change the template to be full width, this makes all the text go to the edge of the screen but I like the current padding/width of the text.
What’s the best way to achieve this?
Many thanks in advance for any help!

    Hello There,

    Thank you for the URL.
Please use No Container page template like Blank – No Container | Header, Footer. The container size depends on the the one you set on Appearance > Customize > Layout and Design > Site Width and Site Maxwidth. This restrict your content on that size. Then it would be better if you can use Cornerstone. We can add the image as background to make it fullwidth too. Then on section we can add padding on left and right to make text not touch the edge of the browser.

    Hope this helps.

OK – thanks I will try this.
I was trying to avoid using cornerstone as it gets a bit complicated with the multilingual setup I have.
    I will report back shortly.

If there is a way you know how it can be done without cornerstone (e.g. insert some code around the text sections to give it padding/margins)… that would be very helpful.

    Hi there,

I recommend you to use cornerstone since it gives you lots of options and it’s easier to manage.
But if you’re not interested, add following shortcode :

    [x_section bg_image="http://yoursite.com/path/to/your/image.jpg" parallax="true"]Text goes here[/x_section]

    Hope it helps.
