Hi, I’m new to x theme and would very much appreciate your help. I’m keen to learn!
1. How do I use the font Helvetica Neue in Interity X theme?
2. How do I make the background image at the top of http://www.JessFozard.com/home full size and not partial size? (I already have it set on full width not boxed.
3. How do I change the colour of only 1 headline not all headlines?
4. How do I create a optin pop up for infusionsoft in x theme?
5. How do I get rid of ‘leave a reply’ at the bottom of the page?
6. How do I remove the page icon that appears when hovering over the recent posts?
7. On the blog page, how do I change the text at the top that reads ‘Category Archive’ and ‘ Below you’ll find a list of all posts that have been categorized as “Blog”’8. On http://www.JessFozard.com
I need help coding the aesthetics of an Infusionsoft optin – I have the optin working however it looks incredibly unprofessional.
Can you please show me what coding I need to include to reduce the space between the text and the ‘Your Name’ field? (Screenshot attached for reference)I’d also love to know how to code the text box a different colour.
I purchased the x Theme as I am a beginner with websites, however I use Infusionsoft, so it is important I learnt how to make it work.
I understand that you do not offer support for 3rd party software, I am asking for help coding the form, not infusionsoft, as you do not currently offer a generic plugin to work with all CRMs.
9. Also, will you be creating an infusionsoft plug in?
Looking forward to your response. Thank you!
[I have the latest version of WordPress and X Theme]
September 23, 2015 at 8:25 am #399899Hi there,
#1 Please follow this thread : https://theme.co/x/member/forums/topic/merriweather-google-font-problem/#post-219525
#2 Select one of page’s templates without container.
#3 Add
color:red;
in custom/featured headline’s style field.#4 It sounds like you might be having an issue with a third party plugin or script. Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.
#5 Please disable comment from Settings -> Discussion.
#6 Please add the following code in Customize -> Custom -> CSS :
.x-recent-posts .format-standard .x-recent-posts-img:before { content: " "; }
#7 Because this requires a template change, I’d advise that you setup a child theme. This allows you to make code changes that won’t be overwritten when an X update is released. After your child theme is setup, please review how we recommend making template changes in Customization Best Practices.
Copy _landmark-header.php from framework/views/integrity and put it in the same path inside child theme, open this file and find and edit following lines :
<?php elseif ( is_category() || x_is_portfolio_category() ) : ?> <?php $meta = x_get_taxonomy_meta(); $title = ( $meta['archive-title'] != '' ) ? $meta['archive-title'] : __( 'Category Archive', '__x__' ); $subtitle = ( $meta['archive-subtitle'] != '' ) ? $meta['archive-subtitle'] : __( "Below you'll find a list of all posts that have been categorized as ", '__x__' ) . '<strong>“' . single_cat_title( '', false ) . '”</strong>'; ?>
#8 Add the following code in Customize -> Custom -> JavaScript :
jQuery('.infusion-field').find('br').remove();
And this CSS :
.infusion-field input[type=text] { background-color: red; }
#9 Do you mean the integrated version of this plugin? No, currently we don’t have such plan.
Hope it helps.
September 23, 2015 at 10:45 pm #400685#1 Thank You!
#2 Can you please explain how I select one of page’s templates without container. – I thought I already had and made the image a background in the section but don’t know how to make the section full width.
#3 Thank You!
#4 I appreciate you don’t offer support for 3rd parties. I guess I should rephrase my question. How do I create a optin popup in x Theme that isn’t mail chimp? Is it possible to create popups in x theme (Not for mail chimp) or does it have to be a separate page?
#5 Thank You!
#6 Thank You!
#7 Wow, so changing the heading on the blog page requires a template change and child theme? That sounds daunting and way out of my depth! Can the child theme be set up just for the blog page or is it site wide? Will setting up the child theme wipe the blog page or website clear and I’ll need to start again?
#8 Thank You! Changing the colour of the boxes worked! Unfortunately the coding to reduce the space between the text and the ‘Your Name’ field on http://www.JessFozard.com didn’t work. Are there any other solutions to this?
#9 that’s a shame. I know I would love it! and recommend x theme so much more if you did as I recommend people use infusionsoft. What would need to happen for you to start planning to create an integrated infusionsoft plugin? Or a integrated optin plugin that could be coded for any CRM?
Thanks so much for your help!
I look forward to your response.September 24, 2015 at 12:09 am #400743Hi there,
Thanks for updating the thread.
#2 – If you are editing with the WP editor it is an option on the left side panel. If you are using Cornerstone. Click on Settings Tab (gear icon), and click on WordPress Settings. Under Page tempalte select Layout – Fullwidth.
$4 – This would require a separate page and then you could use lightbox with link or button to call up the pop-up. Depending on what you need you may need to engage a developer. You can check out our recommended partners: https://theme.co/x/member/custom-development/
If you want to try calling in a page, please review our lightbox info here: https://community.theme.co/kb/shortcode-walkthrough-lightbox/
You will need to create a page using the pagetempalte Blank no header no footer. Insert your form there and use the page link to be called up with the light box.
#7 – You just need to install a child theme and activate it. (please backup your customizer settings via the customizer manager and reimport it if your settings don’t carry over) You won’t need to start over, you can start making edits once you have that sorted.
Note: If this “Blog Category” was set under Posts > Categories, you can simply click edit on the “Blog” category and edit the Archive Title and Archive Subtitle.
#8 – Would you mind clarifying of what you would like to achieve. It looks fine on ours. Please attach a screenshot. Thanks!
#9 – I will add this as a feature request but as mentioned earlier, there are no plans for it at the moment. I can’t promise implementation or a timeline at this point, however, we do listen to our users and we’re always trying to improve. When we see something beneficial we do our best to make it happen. We’re actually working on a number of things so if this does get added to the pipeline, we’ll be sure to announce it when it’s ready. Thanks for understanding! Have a great day!
Hope this helps – thanks!
October 2, 2015 at 8:18 pm #608854#2, followed your instructions, it didn’t change anything and didn’t make the background image full width
#4 Tried to follow instructions, is very clunky and didn’t get the desired outcome.
#7 Thank You
#8 Have included screen shot
#10 How do I change the link within the social media share buttons so that it is a different page?
For example when people register for my optin they go to a thank you page. I would like the share buttons to be on the thank you page but the link that gets shared to be for the sign up page.
#11 What’s the code to make the social media buttons larger?
#12 Is it possible to add another/custom social media button like Periscope and if so how do I do that? (I know what link to use for Periscope is, I just have no idea how to put it on my site as a button with the other buttons.)
#13 Do you have a post somewhere with information explaining what all the options are and mean for the blog within Customizing.
For example what ‘Post Meta’ and ‘Full Post Content on Index’ are?
Thanks

October 3, 2015 at 1:00 am #609014Hi there,
#2 Please select ‘blank-No Container|Header-footer’ as this page’s template.
#4 You need to create separate page with desire content or shortcode, then add a button and lighbox shorcodes, and use that page URL as href of your button.
e.g:
[button class="btn-lightbox" href="http://mysite.com/pgae-with-content"] [lightbox selector=".btn-lightbox"]
#8 I tried the provided code and it worked fine, please provide us with login credentials.
#10 This could be possible with custom development but it would be outside the scope of our support.
#11 Please add this CSS :
.x-colophon.bottom .x-social-global a { font-size: 30px; }
#12 Please add ‘Periscope’ profile URL to one of social buttons that you don’t use in your site (Customize -> Social ) and we’ll help you to change the icon.
#13 Yes, please review this video tutorial : https://community.theme.co/kb/customizer-blog/
Hope it helps.
