Hi!
I tried to upload featured image on my posts, but it’s not loading. This is happening on all of my posts. I am unable to change featured image on all posts. Featured image stays blank even though I set featured image.
I deactivated all of my plugins, but it’s still not doing working.
Could you please check?
For example: I can’t add featured image on here ’cause even though I set it, it stays blank:

Thank you for posting in and the very detailed information. I have investigated the issue and I could not find out why you can not assign a featured image. I am suspecting that a 3rd party plugin is causing. Every time I upload or assign a featured image, I am seeing an error message: http://prntscr.com/d8ab8l
Could you please put your site in under maintenance mode and disable any 3rd party plugin excerpt X and Cornerstone?
Thank you.
November 17, 2016 at 8:25 am #1261035Hi Rue Nel!
I deactivated all plugins except cornerstone and x. I am still not sure why I am unable to set featured image since all plugins are deactivated.
Could you please check? Anything you could suggest, I will follow.
Thank you!
November 17, 2016 at 9:57 am #1261173Hi There,
Your Featured images on your blog page seems to be working normally now.
it’s likely a plugin was conflicting, you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Hope that helps
Joao
November 17, 2016 at 10:06 am #1261187Hi Joao,
the images are working because I uploaded them a while ago.
Now, I am unable to change the featured image. It goes blank even after I set it.
If I remove the featured image that I set at months ago, I am unable to set it again, because it stays blank.
Could you please check yourself? This is happening on all posts.

http://viktoriyaandoksana.com/brian-tracy/November 17, 2016 at 12:29 pm #1261373Hi there,
Thanks for writing back. Yes I can replicate the issue on your site. I can see you are using multiple caching and optimization plugins. I think they breaking some scripts and that’s why it’s happening.
You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.November 17, 2016 at 1:12 pm #1261428Hi Rupok,
I also deactivated all plugins and I still have the problem.
November 17, 2016 at 2:02 pm #1261466i called bluehost and they told me to contact my theme’s developer. I found this error log:
[17-Nov-2016 20:00:02 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Class ‘Sabox_Social_Icons’ not found in /home4/viktorj5/public_html/wp-content/themes/x-child/functions.php on line 114
and this too seems to be like the same issue i’m having:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/featured-image-not-working-42/
I deactivated all plugins, changed the theme, but I’m still not able to set featured image.
November 17, 2016 at 8:24 pm #1261985Hi There,
Disable the plugin Simple Author Box, then clear all your caching and optimizer plugins including the CloudFlare caching. Just deactivating them would not cut, you need to clear them so it can generate a new cache file.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
November 17, 2016 at 9:14 pm #1262025thank you. It is still not working:

I also reinstalled x child theme.
upon inspecting the console, i get this error, even though this image is not in my WP uploads folder. I deleted it and cleared cache many times.
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)

Thanks for writing back. Let’s activate a Default Theme (i.e. Twenty Sixteen) and then try setting the featured image again. This is just to ensure the issue is not related to X. Either it’s causing by plugin/caching or there is an issue with your WordPress installation itself. You can try re-installing a fresh copy of WordPress.
Hope this makes sense.
November 18, 2016 at 9:00 am #1262591Hi Rupok!
Thank you for your suggestions.
I reinstalled core wordpress files and the problem was fixed. According to bluehost, my wordpress core files were changed. I may have had some kind of a malware trying to get it and I now changed all of my passwords.
November 18, 2016 at 10:42 am #1262682Glad to hear it!
Let us know if we can help with anything else.
Thank you.
