    Hi X folk,
    I’m a huge fan! Any chance you can help me figure out why my favicon on schoolofbookkeeping.com will not update? I uploaded a PNG and tested with .ico in the Site Icon part of customize. This site once had a site icon prior and nothing I do will change it. The new one appears for a bit, then disappears. I’ve added the ico file to the root of the theme, added headers.php to my child and added the code WP advises for older browsers. It works perfectly on my newer, fresh sites. 74systems.com and ericgreenspan.com. I have searched for an ico file and others. Deleted all. No idea????

    Thanks for writing in!

    I’ve checked your site and this favicon is appearing at my end: http://prntscr.com/auzcvc. If this is the new favicon and not appearing at your end, this issue could be related to the browser cache. I’d recommend clearing your browser’s cache or testing on a different browser.

    If the icon in the screenshot is old, this is because you are not adding the icon in the right place. Please remove your code from the child theme and just add the URL under Site Icons > Favicon in the Customizer (Appearance > Customize) and it should work fine.
