    Hello there,

    I have a question regarding the Favicon settings in the Customizer.

    I converted a .png file to and .ico file. That was easy. I made sure that the .png file had a transparent background before I converted it.

    I have tried to upload both the .ico and the .png file using the media files URL into the Site Icon Settings.

    Both times, with both scenarios I then opened a page in a separate tab to see what the favicon would look like and both times (I honestly don’t know how), while still signed in to wordpress dashboard, I am able to see my sites favicon with no white background.

    As soon as I sign off of the back-end and try to view my site as my visitors would my favicon once again has a white background.

    I have tried with different files, and I would like to know why my site is doing this. Do I need to change any settings in the themes editor?

    Sorry let me clarify. It’s actually as soon as I leave the customizer that the favicon goes back to having a white background.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the URL. It’s under construction and I can see the white background. So I guess it would be better if we can check the customizer as well to replicate your issue. Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – WordPress Admin username / password

    Hi There,

    Your favicon is loading fine on my end * it is a squary black logo isn´t?

    Would you mind clearing your browser cache and testing again?
