Hi there,
I’ve been trying to have a favicon on my site for ages but can’t seem to get it up. I’ve created a .ico favicon, and also used an FTP client (Cyberduck) to access my folders and put in that icon. Then placed the directory link in the favicon link section in the theme customizer under site icons but it doesn’t show. The hosting service team has been trying to troubleshoot it to no avail, so it might have to do with the theme.
Help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You’ll need to use the full URL in the directory field like this
http://example.com/favicon.icoWould you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentialsDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

Hi there,
Looks like you have set the path as : /public_html/wp-content/uploadimages/favicon.ico which is not even a valid path. Your path should be like : http://www.memoirsoftaste.com/favicon.ico
Let’s upload the icon on root and make sure you can access the image with the above path. I can see you have uploaded an icon but it’s corrupted. Let’s use a correct one and update the link.

Yes you converted and uploaded it correctly. Now place the link http://www.memoirsoftaste.com/favicon.ico on the Customizer as it’s the correct link. Hopefully it will work fine.
