    Hi Forum/Support,

I’m a web developer and I really love the theme! But I’m having issues with the theme’s fade effect.

I’m wanting to add some fade-in effects to a website I’m developing, such as having an h1 title of a row slide & and fade in from the left. When I add this effect the h1 title is invisible and won’t fade/slide in. I noticed that when I inspect the element using Google Chrome’s Console, the fade/slide effect works.

I’ve put the website I’m working on from my local computer onto a development subdomain. It is found at “http://dev-pumpt.davidmclean.co.nz”. I’ve added the effect to the title “The Team” which is found in the fourth row.

If you could help me fix this issue that would be amazing, as I bought this theme because of the really nice effects it uses.

I’m using v2.4.0 of “X”, WordPress version 4.0, v2.4.5 of the “X-Shortcodes” plugin and using a child theme of “Renew”.

Thank you for you help in advance.

    Hey David,

We’re sorry to hear that you are having trouble with fading effect. You must enable the fade effect in the content band’s option.

Click on the pencil icon that says “Edit this column” on hover. Click on Fade Effect checkbox to enable it. From the Fade Animation drop down select any fading effect. That should work.

If you are still not able to do this please provide us the login details of your website in a private message so we can take a deeper look into your issue.

    Hey David,

I’ve setup a test page that has animated fading effect and it is working just fine, The reason it is not working on your homepage is that you have two vertical scroll bars on right side, The fading effect triggers on the main browser scroll bar, getting rid of the other scrolling bar will fix the issue.

    Hi support,

Thank you for your help, and seeing that there was a second vertical scroll bar. What I found was that in my child theme stylesheet, I added the style “height:100%” to the ‘body’. This created the issue of a 2nd scroll bar. I get the feeling this will fix other issues I have.

Thank you so much for your help. I absolutely love your theme, and I plan on using more on other projects in the future.

    Cheers,

    David McLean

    Hi Courtney,

Thank you for the login details.

Upon checking, I can see the contents disappear.
However the animation is working just fine when I tested in my local test site
with the same version of the theme.

You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Also try to clear your browser cahce and plugin cache.

    Hope that helps. 🙂

    Hi there,

I have the same problem. Since I have updated the Theme on 3.1.1 the fade effect doesn’t work anymore.
I have deactivatet the PlugIns except X-Shortcodes but It didn’t worked. I looked at my console and there was no javascript error. Any Idea?
