hey all,

I need a Facebook plugins thats allow blog posts to be shared to a Facebook PROFILE – and can be commented on via either Facebook or the blog, with the comments appearing on both…

tried the official one, but the instructions don’t work – can’t setup the Open Graph as instructed; the Like, Send, Follow buttons don’t seem to work; and isn’t clear if my Facebook profile actually got connected in the User-Profile.

have seen a couple ‘Facebook Comment’ plugins, but seems that’s just using the comment format on the blog – not enabling comments to be shared between the two platforms.

anybody know of any other reliable plugins that can post to a Facebook PROFILE and allow commenting on both the blog and Facebook, where the comments will appear on both?

Hey there,

Our Facebook Comments does post comments both on Facebook and WordPress. It might be that you have a plugin that uses Open Graph. In that case, please disable it

disabled another plugin that may have had the open graph…
setup a new Facebook Developer app as instructed – added the App ID & App Secret to the Addon-Facebook Comment setup…

now, what are the instructions beyond that?

the plugin is enabled & activated – yet, there is no option of sharing posts on Facebook when I post –
and there is no comment box at all on any posts.

the only instructions I see in the Knowledge Base are up to the point of getting the App ID & Secret,
so I am confused on how to have it actually working from here.

please clarify.

I see now that the comment box is there…

I also see that there is the checkbox underneath the comment box that says “Also post on Facebook” – so am guessing this is how I post it on Facebook, rather than on the edit post page…

BUT – it does not seem to have actually posted on my Facebook account.

my test comment posts on the blog posts with my Facebook profile, but the blog post is not appearing on my Facebook…

would there be one more setting somewhere I need to tweak to actually post it to my Facebook account?

(only have two tests posts and tried on both)

Thank you for writing in!

I posted a comment in your test post by using my facebook page, and it’s working just fine, the post can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/zaketech

If the post isn’t being posted on your profile, that might be the privacy reason or a default facebook functionality.

so which settings do I change where so I can post it on my own Facebook wall?

or, is there another way to post besides from the comment box to share new blog posts on my Facebook profile?

I know there’s a ton of social media plugins that can do so – but guessing that if using them, I wouldn’t get the two-way commenting like I do with your plugin…

Did you try to share the post by clicking on the Facebook button? It should post on your profile’s wall.

as I thought –
the post can be shared to Facebook with the other plugin’s button –
but the comments on the Facebook profile/share don’t show up on my blog’s comment box…

so, that really doesn’t do me any good…

can you find out what settings I need to tweak to get the “Also Post On Facebook” working so the comments can duplicate back & forth between the blog and its share on Facebook?

Hi there,

Please ensure that only one comment extension is active at a time, you’ll need to deactivate Disqus Comments extension if active. Other than that there are no extra settings for this, all you need to do is to enter correct App ID and App secret. Please confirm the settings once.

made it live/published, figured that would have been the issue.

still not posting to my profile. 🙁

what else could it be??

(also, while my test comments appear on my blog post, there’s no listing of the activity on my Facebook Activity Log)

Hi there,

Hmm, there is no rendered fb comment box on my end. Though, I can see its code so it’s there. My only guess are wrong app keys or app is on sandbox mode(not live).

Would you mind providing your admin login? I’d like to test my app.
