I am sorry, I spend two hours in the formum, but I dont seem to find the right answer.

I want to make some changes to my side, because the gap between columns is too wide. Pretty sure there be more changes the deeper i get into the project.

My question is, do I do these changes over a child theme or just in the global CSS.
    What is the main difference?
As to when I update xtheme, will the global CSS then be overwritten? How about the inline styles, are they overwritten during an update? Or the classes i set up in cornerstone?

If I understand things right to edit the style.css for my child theme, I can copy the original code from the parent theme and then edit it via appearence/editor. is that correct?

    thank you for your help!

    Hi there,

You can either make the CSS changes in either the child theme’s style.css or the global CSS in the customizer depending on your preference.

Either way, both should remain intact during updates including the inline CSS that you add in the style field of the elements in Cornerstone.
