    Hello,

    I had downloaded the wedding demo, then switched to a few different themes to test them out. I’ve tried to change back to any of the expanded demos, but it tries for a very short time then tells me “the demo failed to finish importing.”

    I’ve read online that it could be internet connection or server connection, but I’ve been trying to get this theme back for about a month now and I get the same error every time. I’ve tried different computers at different locations, and I try this at least weekly.

    I also read that you should be able to use: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=x-addons-home&x-clean-demo-content-cache but that didn’t work for me either. I’m getting a little frustrated with this so any help would be great. Thanks!

    Hi there,

    Please try adding the following lines into your wp-config.php file in the root of your WordPress installation.

    define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
    define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

    Let us know how it goes.

    I’ve never had to edit the wp-config.php on my site before. Can you give me some guidance on how to add this and where?

    Hi there,

    Please connect to FTP and find wp-config.php file in root of wordpress file directory.
    Check this link :
    https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php

    Hope it helps.

    You just repeated what was said before. What do you mean by the root of the wordpress file directory? I can find my way into the wp-config.php just fine, I just don’t know exactly where to put that code. At the beginning? The end? Somewhere in the middle? I need some clarification on exactly where to put it.

    Hi There,

    You can add it before the line

    /* Thatโ€™s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

    Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks

    That didn’t work for me as far as I can tell. I tried it a few different times.

    Hi There,

    Please can contact your webhost. Here is a form letter you may use:

    Hello [provider],

    My WordPress installation is having a hard time making outbound HTTP requests. Iโ€™m using X theme and it makes a request to theme.co for setting up automatic updates. Here is the error message Iโ€™m receiving:

    [screenshot, or copy/paste the verbose error message (see above regarding the &x-verbose flag)]

    Could you please do the following?

    โ€“ Ensure my site can reach this domain: community.theme.co
    โ€“ Ensure cURL is working, and allow_url_fopen is enabled.
    โ€“ Ensure PHP is configured with the latest CA Root Certificates.
    โ€“ Check into the error message above.

    Please advise on anything you discover. Thank you.

    Hope it helps.

    Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks.
